ATO Vehicle Log book is fully compliant with Australian Tax Office requirements where the logbook method is used to claim the percentage business use of a vehicle.

Send your log directly to your employer, accountant or tax agent. You do not need to perform any additional calculations or spreadsheet manipulations. And can easily be pasted into an Excel spreadsheet
You can claim the cost of this app in your tax return. It is a legitimate expense and is fully tax deductible.
The ATO requires a logbook be kept for a continuous 12 week period. As long as this period is representative of the normal business use of the vehicle it remains valid for five years ( for further information refer to the ATO website ).
This app is also suitable for use in other countries where car logbooks are kept for tax purposes e.g. New Zealand, UK (Company Vehicles benefits-in-kind), Canada, South Africa, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Canada etc.
The application can also be used by employees who use their own vehicle for work related travel and need to submit KM reimbursement claims to their employers.

Trip locations

Wondering if the start and stop locations are not needed for ATO compliant logbook?

Doesn’t work.

App loaded twice, then wouldn’t load. Tried to contact developer but link provided doesn’t work. Sure would like my money back!

Date is messed up

Why change something that was working fine? Has always been 4 star but now it’s a 2/3 star because of the changes you made to the format when changing the date. I need the rolling calendar where I can clearly see the day and date. Please return it!

Basic but

This app has worked well until recently. The app now tries to open but closes before getting to the main screen. Is this because of??? Site has now help section!

Don’t waste your money.

Great app, great support

This app is well designed, easy to use & well supported. The developer responded immediately to resolve a minor bug.

Basic but adequate

Suited my needs and able to manually enter trips quickly, plus, it is free, so can’t complain about it being basic. My only problem with this app is that it has suddenly ceased working! I am no longer able to enter any trip times in and save them. I don’t know if this due to a compatibility problem with the latest Apple update or the app itself. Hope it is able to be resolved.

Don’t waste your money

Terrible app. For example when you make a mistake when entering days in manual log entry it re ranks your logs chronologically. When you go to rectify your mistake, the app won’t refilter chronologically so the mistake stays where it is... This throws out your odometer start meaning you end up missing claimable kms. Don’t waste your money, just buy a physical book.

Back up failed

Tried to move information off one phone to another, but the back up would not work and only blank information imported to new phone.

Good predictive text

This has been useful and I like the predictive text features that make entry of travel details really fast. The automatic positional tracking is poor so I do manual km and time but that is more flexible anyway. I did have a bug when I clocked up over a year of entries which involved corrupted data for the preceding couple of months. I think there was an overflow somewhere in the km data. Cleared the car and data after backing up and entered a new car and it seems to work again. Backup every quarter an reset vehicle each year to avoid.
