I rather like an audio book - they help along the house chores and long commutes. I’d pretty much exhausted my library service so it was good to find Audiobooks Now and a way to avoid funding Audible and the Amazon machine. I really enjoy browsing the Specials - it’s put me on to some new authors - and as a UK listener I find there’s enough here for me from UK authors/narrators. Of course there’s always room for more!
A good place to find unusual books as well as popular ones.
I haven’t seen such an ugly UI in years. No option to download the Audiobooks. If you are trying to capture market share from audible you are failing hard.
Abysmal ... keeps stopping at end of a track and have to press play again whereby it rewinds about 3 minutes. Cheap and nasty. Stick with audible. Only use as website only one that sells version/narrater i like.
So I downloaded this due to Audible missing Meg Book 2 out of 6 for some stupid reason. This was the only place I could find it. The app is very basic, but has all the features you might need to listen to a book. You can download to device, show and select from a track list and bookmark your place. It also has sleep timers which is nice. UI is pretty basic, and I would like a watch version, but I know that’s a nice to have. Not as slick as Audible, but still works well.
This site has been a godsend. Easy to navigate and plenty of choice.
I downloaded this app hoping I could download asoue books on there so I searched it up and it only has random books from that series they didn’t even have the first one also I tapped on another one and it says you have to pay dollar and I downloaded it on a British App Store. I despise this app. ( 0/0)
Search seems to produce nothing Very limited choice ..unless I'm doing it wrong ?
Shows pictures of books then can't find them - awful to navigate! Got in UK App Store and prices are in $! Deleting this and sticking with audible!!
I appreciate the ability to buy books cheaper and one-off rather than a subscription model, but how in the world is there not a chapter selection tool? This is absolutely standard in every other audiobook app, including free ones that libraries provide. This needs to be addressed.
