App no longer works
My autel drone got dead battery, and can’t buy anymore because they stop making them, a 700 dlls paperweight, and no support from autel….
The app is unusable on iOS 13 (most likely beyond) Autels customer support is a major reason why I purchased the drone to begin with. However, as the drone is discontinued autel has given up with supporting the x-star. If by chance you are reading this autel, I understand that updating this app will not bring any profit but since you have shown me that you do not support discontinued models, my next drone will be a DJI
I’ve had this thing for three weeks now haven’t flown it yet but I love it and I haven’t even flew it yet.I’ve been watching videos and studying on it everybody seems to love it but I’m about to fly right now. I will be back with an update
I have problem with IOS 13, the camera does not connect and has few bugs that needs to be fixed ASAP otherwise this is going to be bad on Autel Company
Have product tested and pseudo ready before you announce it at CES made same mistake multiple times with you - shame on me
Will you guys please help us out an fix the app an make it work with newer iOS 13 it’s not right that we spend a lot of money just to not be able to get the full capabilities it offers I know you guys can find the time to if that’s the case have a system that buys your own drones back do to these issues. Please help tho cause I do not want to get rid of your drones at all I love your team an your products can’t wait till the evo 2 is finally shipping please do the right thing autel please. If the app reminded you that there was a update I would give it more stars and teach you how to do it if that happens then 5 stars.
I had an issue with my drone I called them and hung up before anybody answered thinking it’s just gonna be a waste of time. Within 2 minutes I get a call from them and they assisted me with my issue . Never had such great customer service, for that I’m a loyal customer.
UPDATE: I called Autel and apparently there is a simple fix to the video latency issue. Once you open the Starlink app, go to the in-app settings under the general settings tab. Once there disable “Hardware decoding”. I’m still disappointed that this bug hasn’t been addressed officially in over a year, but I am raising my rating from 1-star to 3-stars. Ever since this update, my drone has been having major issues streaming a live feed back to my iPhone. The video feed I get is approximately one frame every 5-10 seconds, which is not ideal or safe for flying. When using an android phone, there is no issue. Autel, this app hasn’t been updated in two years. Don’t be one of those companies that drops all support to your early customers and hardware just because you have a shiny new device you want to sell. Once this issue is resolved, I’ll happily re-evaluate my one-star rating.
