Aviator—Radar on your Phone!

Not sure why Jacob dropped the ball on this, but it hasn’t worked in months. Sad, because it’s a super cute app

I’ve been trying over the course of the past week, at different times of the day. I always get a data error and it won’t show planes. I loved the blog post and app design, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. I’ll happily change to 5 stars if it’s fixed.

I loved your development story. However, it doesn’t work for me, even with VPN shut off. I get different messages: “Server overloaded” “Request timed out” “Error parsing data” But I’ll keep trying

Read the article the author wrote about building this app. Fun idea. The boys love planes and we are always wondering what is a plane in the sky vs something else like stars or planets when the planes are very high over our home at night. This app is so much simpler to view than most plane tracking apps as it removes the noise. It keeps it local to the phone and follows the phone’s orientation. Fun app. Thanks!

This app is wonderful for sitting in your backyard and spotting planes as they fly around. The altitude scale of the airplane icons is super helpful too; the bigger the plane is on screen, the bigger it’ll appear to us on the ground! Thanks!!

I loved the blog post you wrote about this and the history behind this app. Looking up to spot airplanes is one of those things I always did when I was a kid and as an adult I find myself still doing it quite often. I enjoy your app as simple as it is. Thank you so much. Your daughter will definitely remember this toy her entire life.

Great little app, does exactly as described. I think my young kids will love tracking the planes.
