Rigged - DO NOT PURCHASE!
It would be embarrassing to be the developer of this pathetic app. Either they know little about backgammon or they intentionally cheat. Regardless, if you enjoy backgammon, look elsewhere. This app is a joke.

App rolls are always extremely lucky for computer. Don’t waste your time on this app.
Of course it cheats. The problem is, it cheats in such an obvious and clumsy way. Still somewhat fun. Somewhat. I think that it’s actually designed to find out how often you cheat when it screws me a bunch of times so obviously, I cheat back.
While this app has its positives, I am finally tired of my opponent whether it is the computer or a person, always getting the exact roll they need. Done.
The offline mode with the hints is great for learning how you should be moving and cubing. However, the online games are ruined by obscene amounts of doubles. I chat with players as I play and the opinion is shared among all players. Skill cannot defeat an opponent with 10+ doubles. Learn on this app and play online on other apps with a better dice generator.
This backgammon app has been around for a long time. It’s made by a small development group that does this thing well. Contrary to all the apps with flashy graphics and gameplay that demands a steady stream of revenue, treating me like a piggy bank, I bought this one and now it’s mine. Of course it’s backgammon so doesn’t require 3d perspectives. The graphics are fine as it is. Now let’s talk about the computer cheating. I have had some amazing rolls with this game. If it was cheating, I would not have been able to get the results I have. I’ve also lost some annoying games. 3 doubles in a row? Are you kidding me? But that happens with dice, too, campers. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes the dice are crazy. For both good and bad. That said, I play on the hard level. And the game has made me a better player. I have found that the computer is fond of doubling when its home row has a lot of openings, and it’s at those times when I say, “are you kidding me?” And then I clobber it and win 4 points which is really satisfying. The developer is super transparent about the dice rolls. The computer knows the odds, for sure. So you better bring your A game. You can win if you are clever. The computer is not wise about knocking you out of its home row. It will do it and leave itself exposed. If it does, then when you hit its pieces, they get sent all the way back to the bar. That’s how I’m able to win. L And one has to know when to just surrender when the computer doubles and it’s in a really good position. It’s very good about covering the middle section of the board, so watch out. I love this game. I can knock out game after game of backgammon in just a few minutes. It’s fun!
Update from Jimmy response: After 76,000 rolls, the computer has better stats in every major category: avg per roll, frequency of doubles, getting out on 5 point board, etc. They spend a lot of time proving the game doesn't look ahead, but they don't deny the rolls are unbalanced (random and unbalanced are two different things). His "proofs" don't address the following: Pips/roll are 8.15 vs 8.17, doubles % are 16.5 vs 16.9, 5pt board are 29.3 vs 31.3, 4pt board is 55 vs 55.8, 3pt board are 74.6 vs 75.9, 2pt board are 88.1 vs 89.5, and 1pt board are 97.5 vs 97.6. The 5pt board statistic, this is nearly 3 standard deviations from the mean and therefore statistically improbable. Add to that stat that the computer leads me in every stat and in every case the computer beats the mean expected and I think it proves cheating. Update: Up to 221k rolls and all the above holds true. Computer rolls have led human rolls in 1. Opening rolls 2. Entering from the bar in a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 point bar. I don’t know the statistical odds of this, but it seems improbable after 9000 matches. Seems to me the rolls would even out over time, but it doesn’t happen.
No unnecessary bells and whistles, just world-class backgammon on the expert level. Just play on Expert with instruction enabled($) and try to improve your percentages. It is NOT cheating, it's just better than you, unless you're one of the top dozen players in the world.
This App is terrible. While dice are proven to be random, the game play is not. Computer consistently makes stupid moves that no rational person (or even AI) would only because it knows the future rolls. Computer consistently hits two pips “in the box” knowing that you will not get them coming out. Just one example of the many strange moves the computer makes to tilt the advantage. Jimmy will contest all he wants but he knows that the game is rigged.
This app reassures me that I am a really good Backgammon player. I know this because the computer cannot beat me unless rolls doubles at least 4:1 ratio. DEVELOPER: “The game doesn’t cheat.” LOL. Of course it doesn’t. How many times did it happen to you that you start a new game. After the VERY FIRST move you double and the computer immediately resigns. LOL… of course it’s because it doesn’t know he moves already. Gimme a break. Ever played a human opponent who resigns right after the first move? Sure, tell me a story… I can print out the rolls. Seriously? Who cares? The fact the computer resigns right after the first move is an indication of it’s “honesty”. It’s entertaining, though.
