I’ve seen the arguments for this being “random” dice, but my rating on here is disproportionate to my other backgammon ratings on other sites and apps. It must be cheating.

By far the most unfair and rigged dice in any game app. They penalize you for not making the “correct” move according to this guy’s book.

No idea why the reviews are so poor. This is a great app compared to any other alternative out there. UI is great and the galaxy team are quick to patch issues. Remarkable this app is a 2.7 rating. I think a lot of those reviews are personal views of the owner and not the actual app. Best way to play mobile/pad BG out there.

The app is low quality, continuous buggy behavior and does not provide an unsubscribe button. You must email their department and request to be unsubscribed with a reason they deem worthy.

My opponents rolled doubles four times more than I did. I kept track over 50 games. This game is rigged to keep you playing. It is not rigged to roll fairly or to be played fairly.

The rolls are so clearly non-random. Really frustrating to be ahead only to lose because the opponent got the super specific sequence of 6-6, 3-3, 5-5. I kid you not. Three doubles in a row, but not just any doubles. The exact doubles needed to cover and hit everything. Actually hilarious. I’m convinced a majority of the people saying “it’s not rigged, you’re just bad” have never played backgammon irl. Also, you can’t convince me that “Star Player” opponents don’t get advantageous rolls whenever they are behind. Trash game for bad players

No way to pair with similar-ranked opponents. Constantly being matched against high ranked players as a beginner. The dice are miles from truly random, and favor higher ranks. The app is designed to incentivize their micro-transaction business model. Absolute hot trash.

When the app works, it’s great, but I’ve never encountered so many problems with an app. Currently, I can’t even log in. They recently ran a pop-up ad as soon as you log in, and it was designed so that the “X” to close it was hard to find. I accidentally clicked on the ad, even though I had no interest in purchasing anything, and now I can’t log in at all. This isn’t the first time I’ve had login issues, especially after updates. Support has been absolutely terrible. As a paying user, I couldn’t access my account previously and ended up having to create a new one just to log in. That meant all my data was essentially reset, which was incredibly frustrating. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but I’ve reached my limit with this app. I’m officially giving up on it and hope to save others from the same frustrating experience.
