Backpack Brawl

This is an absolutely well done game. It was so good I had to delete it because I was spending just way too much free time playing it. The gameplay is both simple understand and complex enough to keep you going as you try to learn what combinations work best. The balance of skill/strategy/luck seems to be well done. With the right skill/strategy you’ll be winning most matches and +rating on most games. Every so often you might get some bad draws. Sometimes you’ll get super lucky. On top of all that, it is very f2p friendly. With a lot of these games you find out very quickly you’ll need to succumb to micro transactions if you want any hope of keeping up. Or at the very least keeping engaged with the gameplay. But that hasn’t been the case and iv been playing obsessively for quite a while. So far Iv managed to level up the two free characters to 10. As well as upgrading plenty of non-legendary items a fair amount of times all without buying currency. Iv gotten to emerald ranking and the final stage before deciding to take a break. So I can’t speak to anything beyond that, but so far you can 100% progress and keep Up without spending on micro transactions. Surprised this game isn’t more popular. 10/10

I love everything about this game and it is so addicting, I have been playing it for a month straight with only Ronan and got to sapphire level 13 Ronan and now want to try some other characters but I can’t do anything without basic upgrades so I have to tank my rank to level her up. I don’t think the xp speed is slow just I can’t do it in this rank. Maybe make each character have a separate rank. But amazing game, love the consistent updates transparency. Great work

The game is fun but there is no sound, idk if it’s just me but my speakers work just fine and there’s no audio setting.

Why am I stuck only getting low level stuff? I feel you can somewhat manage the first 5 levels.. but oh my gosh. I get destroyed.. brutal endgame with terrible RNG

This is one of the only games I’ve ever downloaded off the App Store that explicitly asked me to sign off on the company’s Terms/Conditions as well as their privacy policy. That by itself isn’t an issue, but the links to both of T/C and the Privacy Policy lead you to a non-working web page. If your game collects data on such a level that it is necessary for players to consent to your terms, then you need to be TRANSPARENT with those terms, especially considering this is a rarity in the App Store. With zero transparency, outside of the brief overview given by the App Store itself (personal information will be tracked across apps and websites), I refuse to even start playing what may or may not be a good game. Until the developers fix this glaring transparency issue I will be uninstalling and hope other do as well.

This game is definitely one of the better games I've seen on the app store for a while. It's got lots of replayability and strategy involved in, which I personally enjoy. There are a few things I'd like to see done to improve the game further; however I understand this game is still being developed and my complaints are quite minor so I won't let it affect my rating. The three things that I think could be changed are: 1. I think a tutorial would be nice, it takes a bit to understand a few of the mechanics. Although based on the comments on some of the other reviews it seems a tutorial is already being worked on! 2. It would be nice if when checking out a recipe you've unlocked, you could see what the full progression of craftable items rather than just the next tier. Like, for example, if you could see that the mallet can be crafted into a brain squasher by clicking on the wooden club. I have bad memory though so maybe this is just a me problem. Again, it's quite minor so it really doesn't affect the rating. 3. A few more classes would be nice for some more variety. Again, I understand this game is still a work-in-progress so its likely more classes will be added in the future. Despite my complaints I want to reiterate that I think this is a great game and is deserving of the five stars. Keep up the great work, game dev(s)!

Still no sound after update.

Overall it’s pretty decent however I feel you should have 6 hearts instead of 4 from the beginning and the matching could be better so you play against people at your own level. Almost like a total combat power matchmaking.

Pls don’t stop! It’s may be a promising project! 5 stars. Waiting for updates! Good luck! Don’t abandon the game!
