Bad Elf GPS

After a reboot of my iPhone 6S, Bad Elf Pro+ works perfectly. I would love to have integrated tools on the device like "GoBackPro", and be able to save POI's without saving a track. App works well, but crash sometimes. Just reboot the phone and it's OK.

Lists trips in strange order? Not obvious how to change order to One's preference. Headings not labeled in trip presentations. Nonetheless it does a great job!

Works well with my bad elf devices ( BE-2200 and 2300). Latest version (v3) is even better than previous versions. I'm quite satisfied.

This external gps appears to work as described. Provides better location accuracy than an iPad 3G device. Would've given 4 stars but does not display in UTM, ONLY LAT / long. UTM is the easier, metric equivalent of lat/long and is recognized and used worldwide. Why not add this capability to your app & led display? Then it would work as well as a garMIN 60 series only better because it connects to tablets.

Purchased the Bad Elf GPS to use in conjunction with INavX charts on my IPod Touch before cruising, for 3 plus weeks, on our sailboat to Desolation Sound 100 miles north of Vancouver. The GPS would not lock on, no matter what... consequently it was useless for what was intended. Good thing we had back-up charts and an older Garmin GPS for the trip. Only in the last harbor where WIFI was available did it lock on and continued to be locked on when we left via Active Pass to Point Roberts. It worked fine, placed us on the charts and provided useful information, tracking our last leg. Only problem now to overcome the glare of the IPod Touch in and out of direct sunlight... People at Bad Elf have promised to look into the problem and provide and answer.

I've had it for years. I keep it in my Jeep, connected to my LiFePO4 off grid power system. Folks who are in my Jeep are welcome to pair to it. It blows Apple GPS out of the water because no cell tower dependancy!
