The app just does not function as advertised.
I purchased the Greater Goods bluetooth BP monitor because of the good reviews on accuracy for the price, reliability and even the quietness of the pump. In fact i was actually recommended the brand specifically by my primary care doctor. I did not purchase their product because of or for the accompanying app. However, i did appreciate the information available, indicated that the app collects minimal data, needs minimal permissions and that greater goods data and privacy policy seems to be pretty straightforward and transparent, unlike a lot of the other big brands in this space. All of which is great, and I dont have any clear faults or issues with the hardware so far. However, what i found almost immediately out of the box, was that the app just does not work as advertised. I know that bluetooth, especially bluetooth LE, can be very finicky. but the simple truth is that the app as a whole just does not seem to function correctly, and not in the sense that its just unreliable. I just simply cannot get it to work. i do not know if this is a combination of my particlar iphone model (11) and iOS18, or if its just an issue with iOS18 by itself (because as of the time of writing this review, the app has not been updated since about a month before 18 was released) but whatever the issue is, it absolutely needs resolving. Quite literally from the first use of the app, it did not function. the setup did seem to work as it was suppossed to. the device indicated that it paird through bluetooth and was setup, and that was a very easy experience. The he integration with apple health seemed to connect and function, but on the first attempt to take a reading, not only did it not sync the data from the monitor into the app, but the app immediately crashed while attempting to do so, with nothing recorded. after deleting and reinstalling the app multiple times and going through the setup over and over, i faced multiple issues as follows: apple health integration causing the app to crash while trying to sync, or refusing to connect. apple health integration connecting but not syncing any data. The app crashing when trying to sync, without apple health integration. the app telling me a sync with the monitor was successful and the data was added to my chart, but no data was actually recorded, or at least no new data appeard on the graph. the app seeming to make no attempt to sync, and does nothing. either the device or (more likely) the app, doesnt seem to add any unsynced
Repeatedly failing to synchronize
I bought the blood pressure cuff from greater goods a few years ago. My purchase was based on the glowing review the blood pressure cuff, and the associated app, received from New York Times wire cutter column. The combined products have never worked as the reviewer indicated they would, I’ve been completely frustrated! Constantly, even after several conversations with customer service, the blood pressure cuff fails to synchronize with the app on my iPhone.
I’d suggest you try some other product.
No way to download data
I signed on to their system in the hope of getting an easy way to download the BP measurements. No such luck.
What is the point of signing up
Non responsive
Sluggish, non responsive navigation.
Have to constantly refresh/reopen to go back.
On a positive note it syncs with Health app!
So I can just bypass this app altogether.
Blank screen
A couple of times a week the screen blanks out when I open the app to record a reading. The app says it captured the reading though I can’t verify with a blank screen.

I can only rate the support for this app, as I have never been able to gain access since I initially signed up. I have racked up over 25 emails between support and myself trying to have my account information changed. They have not resolved this issue and continue to ignore my request to delete my account. So now, I’m stuck waiting a year to make sure that I am not charged. Huge waste of time.

No working on iOS 18?
The app was fine till I transferred to a new phone & iOS 18. No it won’t open (white screen) & I’ll
Lose all data if I delete and reinstall. What am I missing?
Doesn’t integrate well
The app must be open to sync which is inconvenient but the most frustrating is that it claims to integrate with Apple Health but has never worked correctly. I consistently receive a sync error message.

Very user friendly. An overall great app. Hopefully my doctor will be proud of me taking my BP twice a day 😄
