Poor internet banking system The people at the Bank of the West on Southeast 14th Street in Des Moines have been great. My complaints are with your poor on line banking service. It seems like half the time I try and get on your service is down. Maybe you need to upgrade your IT dept.

Not only did the bank provide horrible customer service previously but this transfer to BMO has virtually halted banking activity. I have not been able to access my accounts off and on for 2 weeks. The transfer I made yesterday did not process almost causing an overdraft. I also don’t know how you close a bank for 4 days and over Labor Day weekend with little notice. After submitting my review I received an email apologizing for the poor service and stating they would like to speak with me regarding my concerns. They then provided a phone number which I called and after 20 minutes on hold the supervisor said she had no idea what I was talking about. Typical customer service for this bank.

I have been with Bank of the West for 30+ years and my children have accounts there as well. I have financed my house, used equity lines of credit, and used credits cards, savings and checking account. I love this hometown bank . Now that it is growing and seeing this second merger, I worry that it will not have the personal feeling which I am used to. I have been so pleased, so please don’t change all the good things that have kept me as a client for all these years!

Bill pay was always glitchy resulting in double payments due to prompting you payment didnt go thru even though it did. Now BMO acquired. That means at no additional charge you will be locked out of your account from 8/21-9/5. This will require 1.75 hours of phone calls, blind transfers and loads of i dunnos about when the account will be available again. Then you will be forced to set up new account w/ BMO - good luck pn getting the instructions on that!!

She is the consummate professional and loves people so much. She works tirelessly to bring us the very best service imaginable. Kudos to everybody there, really ! Bank of the West is robbing me of my money and my title! All that money is going to interest and very little is going to principal! Don’t trust them!

This app could not be more simple and easy to use. Whether it be transferring money or checking your account balance, it couldn’t be easier

I hate this bank so much there are so much bugs that needs to be fixed.
