As a bassist, the premise is great. I should have played with the free version first, but that’s on me. A,D,G tune just fine, but on a 4 string Yamaha with absolutely nothing special about it, the app tunes the E WAY out of tune. I tried changing settings and simply trying it over and over again. I just couldn’t get it to tune my E, and I wasn’t about to test it with my 5 string. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love and use it so much. Every month without doubt Apple Music takes from me in my opinion too much, you wanting $4.99 and I’m giving you that, you’re not taking it. In my opinion and I am no exception, if you’re using this app for over a month and not dropping the 4.99 for the paid version….frugal, that’s your new nickname😜download you will not regret it!!

Gives a nice display that helps for accurate tuning.

This tuner on my phone is as good as the fancy crap the Guitarists in my band have. There is a free version but the $5 is well worth it compared to what you might be paying for a tuner you could lose. Have to get close if I’m not plugged in but it always works.

This app is the pinnacle of tuner apps due to how the UI shows the pitch over time in a two dimensional plot, which makes it very easy to see how much your instrument’s tuning is off. And don’t let the name fool you — this works brilliantly for guitar as well.

I’ve tried quite a few tuner apps and was never satisfied until I found this one. It is wonderful for the bass guitar. Many tuners can’t lock into the low E’s vibrations. This does. It is also much more solid for guitar. Love it. Thank you!

Easy to use, fast and accurate. Adjustable A reference and recognizing the octave range a big plus.

both the drone and tuner functions show accurate pitch. I like the way the tuner shows the pitch with the background changing colors. The only drawback is that the orientation is fixed so when I rotate the iPhone the display is upside down
