BAYweb

You can't turn Alerting function On or Off with this App. As you approach a building, unable to switch off alerting. you’ll get text and email alerts as motion sensors are tripped. Can only turn off alerting a couple pages deep within the BAYWeb website. Ridiculous! I have motion sensors paired with BayWeb thermostats. When building is vacant, I turn alerting on which acts like a security system. When I return to the building, I normally turn the motion sensors off. Super easy right? But NOT when you can't turn alerting ON or OFF from the BayWeb phone APP. I pointed out this flaw to BayWeb more than 2 years ago but no one seems to understand and the request has been completely ignored. Furthermore, the UX design of this App could be a lot better. Earlier versions of the App and web portal were way better and had the Alerting On/Off built in, right on the front screen. Prior versions were way more intuitive with better overall navigation and array of features on first screen. Now you have to dig around a lot or functions are completely missing like the missing Alerting toggle issue. The thermostat itself is great but I’m disappointed in APP. C’mon, someone pick up the ball here.

Do not update this app. It does not work after the update. Will not load, just white screen. Would have given it zero stars but had choose at least one star to leave a review. Bring back the old version until you have this figured out!!!

The old Bayweb app was very good. Not sure how this new redesign got this far. Not as easy to use as old version. I often log in to change the set point. Every time it starts at 32 degrees and have to scroll up to standard temp range for most homes.Please bring back the old version or redesign a new one that has a user friendly interface like the old. Thanks.

Use to be able to set up and use a schedule to turn the heating and cooling on and off. Can't do that any more:(. No schedule available. I'll have to switch over to a Nest.

Nice job guys! I've been waiting for the update they'll have profiles on it! Make my job so much easier thank you! :)

The previous version was just fine. You have managed to reduce functionality and user friendliness in one update. This is a great thermostat- it deserves a better app. Let's have the previous version back.

No control of when activities are active ie multiple activities over 24 hour period. Time each is active cannot be changed that I see. Also cannot change temperature range for an activity unless it is active? Not an improvement that I can see.

This app is very frustrating and does not do justice to the Bayweb product. The app does not reliably update the Bayweb settings and often misrepresents the current status of the thermostat. This is incredibly frustrating and I hope Bayweb fixes these problems, considering competing products like Nest have far superior apps and user interfaces.

I have 2 bay web thermostats installed in our lake house and really love the ability to keep tabs on the temperature and system operation when we are not there. The charts and logs give an indication if things are working ok. In the 3 years I have used the app, twice I saw that the heat pumps were not working right, and using emergency heat exclusively. Being able to get this fixed saved much on electricity. Also like being able to raise heat or lower ac before we get there. Great peace of mind
