bbybike - The Bicycle App

New to riding so downloaded, but everything from trying to find the location you’re trying to get to (doesn’t have half the listings that Google maps does) to actually using it is just too hard. Search functionality needs to be updated. Everything after search is locked behind a paywall. The app doesn’t show the possible bike paths like the online version does… Needs a full overhaul. Good idea, but I uninstalled because Google Maps is better, and free.

Great idea. I don’t have confidence with riding so loved the idea of this guiding me through quieter roads. It took me through a creek and where it wanted me to cross, there was... a creek! It doesn’t update its directions based on your location and as I got increasingly flustered, it was harder to reset the map to find my way around the creek. I hope it updates the feature. I’ll keep using it. But it gets two stars today because I almost had an asthma attack from the stress and had to get my husband to pick me up. I’m sorry for the grumpy review. Ps. I changed it to 3 stars, because it really is a good idea.

Didn't work outside London!!

One of the the few apps I've bought and it useless. Navigation fails to update and location service for start & finish points can't find most addresses. Steer clear bike riders!

I love the idea of the app and design but constant crashes and pro version constantly not responding and forgetting personal set information for example home address and unable to restore pro I look forward to the next update

Sobald man von der Route abweicht, merkt man die mangelhafte Programmierung. Alternative Routenvorschläge - ebenfalls Fehlanzeige. In keiner Version: eher nicht. Schade.

Ich habe diese App vor Jahren gekauft und fand sie damals toll. Offensichtlich wird sie nicht mehr gepflegt, und ist jetzt total sinnlos. Daher wird sie heute bei mir de-installiert. byebye

Mit dem Verschrotten meines alten Handys musste ich mich leider auch von bbbike trennen, der genialsten app. Bbybike ist fast so gut, ein sehr entscheidender Nachteil: es führt die Navigation nicht nach, wenn ich von der Route abweiche. Das ist sehr nervig. Bitte bitte ändern, es wird so oft in den Rezensionen genannt! Abgesehen davon lande ich ab und zu in Fußgängerzonen oder an ner Schranke. Schön wäre auch eine kontinuierliche Anzeige von Restzeit /-kilometer und aktueller Geschwindigkeit.

Bei der ersten Tour dachte ich noch, gut Hans halt nicht ausgeschaltet in den Einstellungen. Aber egal was ich mache. Am Ende ist immer Kopfsteinpflaster dabei. Dazu dann kluge Kommentare wie OK oder breiter Uferweg daneben. Ich kenne die Stellen. Hilft auch nichts…..Warum kann das Navi nicht einfach wirklich Kopfsteinpflaster umgehen wenn ich das schon wünsche…Apple Karten macht tatsächlich eine bessere Radnavigation.

Ich kenne von früher noch bbbike in der X11-Umgebung. Die App hier ist natürlich um Lichtjahre weiter, und die Pro-Version hat auch ein paar nette Features. Eine automatische Aktualisierung der Route, falls man von der alten Route abweicht, wäre super – wenigstens in der Pro-Version –, aber alles in allem ist das jetzt schon echt super.
