Best beat app on iOS if you ask me, more complex then any other.

the limitations mostly exist in us, this app is the closest thing there ever will be to real heaven! bm3 is my go to sampler and sequencer. there are other apps that work well too, for me they dont compete, they work very well together, Nanostudio 2 , Gadget, all the Audio Units and IAAs you have so much more power at your fingertips than the legends had when most of humanities top classics were made, for less than the cost of an ipad you can support independent devs around the world to make a living and have the best most powerful workstation to ever fit in your pocket! if you take the time to ask the internet the things you dont know, and stay committed to learning this app, if you really learn it in your muscle memory , this app will take your sampling and song writing anywhere you wanna go. below i list my setup which is not a bunch of new expensive gear, most is durable, and each piece was carefully selected most have multipul functions. you could make music fine with just bm3 alone and most class compliant midi controllers will work fine but at the minimum i totally recomend an interface, ( somthing that charges your ios device and gives you good inputs and outputs, and midi, you need good headphones or speakers, a controller with transport ,16 knobs and 16 pads. and a separate midi keyboard, a synth can double as midi keys.... in my studio i have two ipads networked with icconnectivity audio+4 interface going into a 12 ch analog mixer going to hardware... midi controllers are a beatstep, and qnexus for alll kinds of midi fexibility and they take up zero space for all they offer. ultranova brings it up to a full size piano or / fx processor/ synth, then add the hardware or soundsources..... one of my favs is my kp3 , I have some old drum machines and samplers, guitar, bass etc, bm3 is at the center though i have a laptop coming into the mixer via a line6 audiointerface with guitar preamps but this isnt turned on all the time. I am primarily in the ipads and i usually only use one at a time BUT and that is big but, I have the setup this way for some good reasons. my cpu is never maxed, my devices run cool, and I have redundency, if one fails I move on without a pause. its the best of both worlds, its not in the box or out of the box, its just powerful and flexible. . for the train..... i have a nanokeystudio bluetooth keyboard and a bose minisoundlink , i do not use its bluetooth unless im only doing step

Honestly it’s…meh after 2 months of hard use If you can get beyond midi notes not being shown in the piano roll after recording….yet the played notes still play (a few restarts usually them back….usually 😒) Lack of “key dectection” in 2024 in sample based software is odd, yet it was discussed as an “simple” addition on the forums over two years ago 16 Levels based on velocity Ghost notes (again addressed by the company in the forums over 2yrs ago) How about limiting the bounciness of the touchscreen….? Overshooting the mark runs prevalent More undo levels Non-Destructive Time Stretch/Processing (see above)…..with lack of undo, once time stretching is done, exit the edit window, if anything other than pad triggering/transport controls are touched… no undo is available for the time stretch and we know what happens when you stretch the same sample over and over The ability to edit a slice in the editor, extract the slice, and place it on another pad independently Crashes….might be an auv3 issue BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT TWO YEARS…..TWO YEARS FOR AN UPDATE?! And when it came it was the same version (3) and not a major overhaul. Not only is that irresponsible as a developer (especially with technology ever evolving) it shows a total disregard of the customer in general. Some responsibility can be placed on Apple, but the rest in on you. You have a good product, why not show the rest of the world you believe it. I’ll await the typical cookie cutter response all developers reply with 😑
