Doesn’t help the problem
I phoned up once because I was worried that my child might be having a glycaemic episode and the response was that I needed to take him to the GP (which I had been trying to do for five days before contacting them with no luck). Eventually, I managed to get my son seen but it was not because of my Benenden Health.. Then I had an issue where I was concerned about my blood health and had started to have random bleeds onto my skin. I contacted my GP and was unable to get an appointment or speak to anybody for weeks and so I contacted Benenden and they told me I needed to go into my GP to get a blood test. I phoned the GP surgery and told them I had spoken to a Benenden GP and I needed to get a blood test and the response was that I needed to speak to a practice GP and they didn’t have anyone available.. Long and short of it is that Benenden are very quick to provide advice but they cannot help or support you without referring you back into the NHS system - Which is broken. If they are unable to prescribe or treat what is the point?
