This app is a complete waste of time . What is the use of it ?

Really helped me to understand after switching from an 11-32 to 12-25 cassette.

It’s very fascinating, it works very well.

A very useful app for calculating gears and especially handy for those of us who ride fixed a lot.

I built a single speed. I suddenly became aware that I had to find a gear ratio compromise between the flat road and the hill. I was recommended the app and I could understand gear ratio’s in a much clearer way than I did before. I even teach children about gear ratio’s, as part of my education role in Bristol where there are a lot of hills. I wonder if the trend of bike manufacturers towards a single ‘granny ring’ on the crank end and a ridiculous 55T cassette (that compares to the size of a dinner plate) would be a good way to bring the necessity of having access to different gear ratio’s home to the uninitiated? Perhaps the current trend is just a cynical move by drivechain manufacturers to charge £100 for a new cassette? I also cycle on 7 speed road bikes with 11-23T as well as 8 and 9 speed mountain bikes 12-34T with triple chainrings 42/32/22. I just enjoy the experience and like variety. Thanks for developing this app. It’s so helpful.
