As of about a month ago, ACH was not available for USA residents so the only way to deposit funds was via bank wire. While Fidelity's brokerage offers free wire transfers, BitFlyer reserves the right to not honor wires originating from a brokerage account.

It say it’s available in New York and I want to try Bitflyer but registration failed cause they can’t login in my bank account. I know it will take long to get a response from support.

Have been using it for more than 2 years. Then, they demanded to upload new residence card more than one month before old one expiry date. Since the new residence card was not ready yet they froze my account and refuse to reopen even after I got new residence card, referring to their "confidential and comprehensive checks" done by third party contractor. Typical japanese business with horrible customer support and discrimination. Do not recommend.

I was targeted twice and dropped from the service for no apparent reason. The company claimed from aggressive security measures which the reasons they don’t disclose. To me this means they can make any excuse to eliminate customers from their service. I’m a regular person with a very small amount of money in crypto and I don’t do any activities that warrant me to be a target by BitFlyer. My first account some years ago same random reason they terminated my account. The second account that was terminated I opened several years after BitFlyer closed the first account. I really feel like BitFlyer targets certain foreign investors. I understand companies like BitFlyer must be aggressive against people who’s intentions are to misuse the service however I do not fit in this category and I was targeted twice leads me to believe discriminatory practices are BitFlyer’s methods for weeding out suspected criminal customers.BitFlyer seems to be the only choice if you are foreign and live in Japan and because BitFlyer knows they are the only service in Japan foreigner compatible they can treat customers anyway they want without accountability.

Why will my account been frozen after depositing and started trading with my account. This just reminds me of app scamming people money

I’m new to Bitflyer but I ordered a withdrawal from my Bitcoin but it is taking days now to get completed. Hope I’ve not been scammed ?

High spread, high transfer fee. If you support decentralization, do more research and don’t use bitFlyer. Just my 2 cents.

it might be zero fees but when you buy, they inflate the price and when you sell, they cheat you with lower than market price offer. immediate loss of ~$3.33 before you lose more trying to sell later. at least they DO allow transfers of the crypto but that costs .0004btc which is about $22 rn so no thanks! best possible use is for serious hodlers to beat the huge spread. but then there isnt any interest rate being offered to earn on your balance like blockfi does which is a lot better.
