As the title says, my card was able to be temporarily charged but the actual payment for the ride would not go through. Bike wouldn’t unlock. Honestly pretty infuriating
How a city center is “out of hub” is ridiculous. It IS the hub. $2 rip off every time you ride it to anywhere you want to use a bike and not a car.
The app wont load its ridiculous
Battery dead. Handlebar grip not fixed to the bar.
The app is confusing to me. It’s pretty difficult to do all the things required while standing on the side of a busy road. If you make a mistake entering information, it’s very difficult to correct the problem. You can’t simply update the credit card info, you can only add a new card which then has the exact same name. The motors on the bikes only work half the time. And the seat on mine was filled with water.
Held a bike outside of the zone. Tried to unlock it to ride back, and it would not work! I tried to contact customer service, which “doesn’t do phone calls”. After refusing to help unless I somehow moved a locked bike back into the zone a mile away and being charged $75; I gave up. I will just fight the charges with my credit card company… and cancel my monthly membership.
I have been using them since they first came to New Orleans (out of necessity), but this is the legitimate worse bike sharing app I’ve ever used in my life across the entire United States. I am saving up extra hard to get a car because of these people and their unreliability and poor service and poor customer service. Whenever the bike people replace the batteries they don’t put them in properly. That means in the app, the bike will show as having 100% battery and then when you go through the app to unlock it, you end up pedaling 10 times harder than on a regular bike because the assistive pedaling won’t be activated. Find a way to check these bikes because I have almost been late to works because I thought a bike was there and with 100% battery but in actuality it’s a dud. Also, something must be wrong with their GPS system because whenever I go to where the app says there is a bike, half the time there’s no bike at all. Another issue is how long it takes to unlock and relock. They have the clock running from the moment it unlocks, but these people waste so much of your time in the app that by the time you’ve unlocked and relocked the bike, you’ve wasted 5 minutes that they’re charging you for. Yet another issue is their customer service. Extremely rude and rarely helpful.
Docking station doesn’t always unlock the bike. Can’t trust that it will work properly and you get stuck with a charge you need to dispute.
Slow and clunky UI in app. Bikes have a ~50% chance of not unlocking, not working, or causing users to have to reset their Bluetooth (horribly inconvenient UX). Heavens forbid the bike’s motor gives out mid trip, you’ll be in for the workout of your life. Although customer service is quick to respond the quality of service leaves much to be desired. Cheaper than Uber but I would quickly switch to an alternative company if one was available in my city.
