I have been a customer of BNY for a decade. The face recognition rarely works. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to call customer support for access. The app fails to remember my customer Id, etc. I travel a great deal and simple tasks like paying bills and depositing checks take repeated attempts and calls to the 1-800 line. Could be the worst app in banking. Can’t even send this without a nickname

I have been using this app for some time to deposit checks to my account. For the last 2 weeks I’ve keep getting a ‘currently unable to process your request’ message on login, even after deleting and reinstalling the app. Customer service suggested I should be using the ‘BNY Wealth’ app instead. This app is a mirror of the website, but has no check deposit feature. Its 2020, why can’t you have one app that works as opposed to a confusion of 4 apps that don’t work. I need to deposit money. That is why I have a bank account.

Banking Not Instagram

I'm all for design changes but the death rattle of all apps is trying to be more like Instagram. Facebook messenger has this problem. I would prefer a dedicated mobile deposit button rather than a two step plus symbol that leads to the option. Or maybe customizable home row buttons? The new look is more modern and less 90s which is pleasing to the eye. But please remember form follows function and as a user I prefer low resolution graphics that can load quickly on low bandwidth data signals. Going forward please don't make it so flashy it can't load quickly. Thank you for all you efforts. :)

BNY is always last on the bandwagon. The app has no flair, is boring and the deposit check function was too picky. I spent more time taking photos than just going to an ATM. Oh wait. They don't have those either. I have been loyal to BNY but seriously considering going to PNC now.
