What’s with the banner across the top??
Have to move page up and down to see entire page in portrait. Why? The idea of the exercise is to feel like reading a magazine. This is dumb.

It used to be that you could choose either pdf (so like the print version) or the terrible format where you have to scroll up and down pages. Also the layout of the magazine gets worse all the time - bad 1960s and 70s.
The recent (2023) update is great! I like the interactive app better than the PDF style version. However there seems to be a bug with the recipe cards when the recipe extends beyond the screen. There no scroll bar or way to view the rest of the recipe. Please fix so we can actually cook from the magazine!
App is stuck in the last issue read without any method of exiting
The app is pretty bare bones which is fine considering I'm only using it for the content. scrolling up/down to get through pages would be nice.
I used the first app that came out, back in 2014 and I have to say that the new format is a regression. It went from interactive to a magazine in PDF format. No instructions, no easy way to navigate through the recipes. Wish they would go back to the original format. Sad that this is what the app had come too. I love the physical magazine, and I love the YouTube channel, hate the app.
I love the magazine but the app isn’t as great. I’d wish it was more interactive. This feels like a scrolling through adobe reader...
It used to be this amazing interactive app that allowed you to see all of the recipes at the beginning and jump to them and allowed you to view the recipe on its own page. Now it is an uneditable PDF that you can’t even zoom in to view the recipe. It’s a horrible experience. You can get these PDF’s for free usually from your local library app and not have to pay for this. Or just go to their website since you can at least zoom in on the website. Hopefully they will switch back.
Seems like we’re at Version 1 of the app. Was the old app too expensive to maintain and without profit? Such a shame as I liked the old app and admired how it worked... very elegant. The new version has nothing to admire. Simplistic crap. Why do I have to give this app one star? I’d rather give it zero!
I’ve been a long time subscriber through various iterations of the app. Each new update seems to come with less functionality. First we lost landscape viewing and now with this latest updated, every single thing separating this from the paper copy. It’s like they just took pictures of the magazine and uploaded them to the app. What a bad decision to stop investing time and money in what was once a fantastic interactive experience. I feel like this one will lose subscribers. Might be time to look elsewhere.
