This app is literally the reason I went back to carrying cash, often failing to load anything beyond a black screen, leaving me at dinner unable to transfer money between accounts to pay, on multiple occasions. I thought it couldn’t get worse, until they ‘fixed the app’ a few weeks ago. It’s gained a shiny new look with all the information spread much further out, and completely lost the ability to scroll. I repeat: you cannot scroll. It’s also lost all ability to remember your personal customer number, meaning you’ll need to keep it written out in notes to transcribe across (make sure to remember it well and type the whole thing out at once though, because if you go back to check, the app flushes what you’ve typed so far). It gets better: my card was swallowed by an ATM overseas, and BOQ offers no functionality to cancel a card online, or order a new one. This would fine if it could be fixed with a phone call, but that doesn’t work either; I spent more than 3 hours on hold across 2 days, with the both calls finally being dropped on BOQ’s side, both days. My only option was to wait 2 weeks until I flew home to physically visit a branch, cancel the card and order another; but I arrived to find all branches (my only possible option left with no online options) closed over the holiday period. The app lacks any functionality beyond transferring money between accounts, and even that is, in every sense, completely broken. Not to beat a dead horse here, but I repeat: scrolling is completely impossible in a vertical, list based app. At least their website lets you navigate its paltry lack of features more often than not (so long as you have multiple browsers to try with; sometimes it just doesn’t like Chrome, sometimes Safari’s the problem!). I have never seen such an utter technical failure from any professional institution. I literally cannot possibly conceive of any possible way this app could be more broken, other than if it failed to boot up 100% of the time.
It's a shame
Not sure how they got such a dumb UI, unfriendly features, and don't have a very very basic login feature. I don't know how developers make the app better and how QA checks it.
Come on BOQ, use some common sense. Engage a team of developers and external IT companies who are in this business or migrate customers to myBOQ

Most recent update is atrocious, completely logged out of everything 🤦🏻♂️ guess I need to phone the bank now.
Worst App ever
This has to the the worst banking (any App) in the world. How is it possible BoQ can get it so wrong. Just take a simple look at how other thanks that do it well, great their Apps. Really isn’t rocket science.

This app with the new update is terrible, makes everything 10 times harder. Please go back to previous app layout and settings.
Rubbish update
The lastest update which was ment to get you in line with the competition has put in you dead last. It’s by far nearly impossible to use. Everything is the same colour and size and blends together. Got back to where it last worked. Omg
Worst banking app ever
I have been using the BOQ app for years and recently they updated the app making it absolutely terrible. There is no quick way to login you have to always type in your customer access number as well as your password. Then you have to navigate the menu system which is not easy to read seeing that they have decided to use a fine line font. Also trying to figure out which transactions are which is shocking before you had a credit and debit columns now they blend into each other. To make it worse I rang the bank trying to get help to use the app and wasted 45 mins just sitting in a phone queue being told ever few minutes that you are progressing in the queue, but never being told what number in the line you currently are. FIX THIS BOQ or you are going to lose a lot of customers.
Just terrrible
I thought for sure with the new app update / revamp it was going to be on par with at least some other average bank platforms. It is just terrible, awful, the worst !
Final straw for me, transferring all accounts and facilities to another bank. I find it hard to imagine how whoever was in charge of this BOQ project, is still employed / contracted !!
Change Banks
I feel like the app developers have never used a mobile banking app before, last app was bad but this app takes it to a new level! Thanks BOQ for prompting me to change banks. How in this day and age can a company get it so wrong!
