Breaker—The social podcast app

Been using this app for years, but now it’s awful. 1. Downloaded podcasts still need app to go online before playing (?) 2. Very slow updating even when on Wi-Fi 3. Past shared links of podcasts on twitter now just go to an advert for sister app Player FM - my entire twitter history been destroyed 4. The opml file exported to move to another podcasts app is not standard and doesn’t work(!)

I love podcast

I have to agree to you having and using my data before I can even finish downloading your app, wrong way round, if your app is any good, I will willingly pay with my data, not before.

I enjoyed listening to the podcasts, but encountered 2 problems: 1. I monitored battery usage compared to others such as Spotify. In all cases I was playing downloaded podcasts only, NOT streaming. Still, there was a massive difference - Breaker was killing my battery compared to others (and I don't have an old iPhone - it's the latest OS). 2. Overall the app is slow to respond - buggy. I will be back if these things improve. 🙏

I used to use this app on a daily basis until the developers decided to force a terrible sign in option that fails to work on my ipad and so I cannot access my subscriptions and playlists. I even contacted them about the issue but received unhelpful responses.

Downed app and listening some audios

From day one I really liked this app as it quickly allowed me to find new titles and view/download latest from my subscriptions. My only issue would be the performance of the application. It can sometimes get very slow and unusable. V1.0 was only released recently so I forward to future release which will bring more stability and better performance. Keep up the good work guys.

Breaker had a great set of features and I really want to use it but the performance of basic interactions is painful. Solid listening experience but scrolling etc is slow. I can fee my device heating up while using it too. As of v1.05, the performance is hampering this otherwise great app. Hopefully this will help the devs prioritise improvements to UI responsiveness and I can recommend it fully in the coming releases.

Finally I found this app which can list episodes by the likes in received and help me decide which one to listen to. Two suggestions: 1. marketing better so that this app can reach to more podcast lovers: the more people use this app, the better the app can help listeners decide which podcast episodes to listen 2. Filter the trending lists, such as by category

I listen to a lot of podcasts and I started using breaker because I have a Company phone which blocks any content with an explicit tag. Seemingly by boss doesn’t want me hearing naughty words! Anyway, Breaker gets around this somehow, and I can listen to what I like.
