very handy for me as a advance rigger working on a construction site knowing how much strain the cross beams are taking and the down pressure on the columes and the soft ware warns you if your over loading the slings, the sling appear red colour if over loaded and if the slings are in the SWL the sling will appear green, the only let down is the soft ware is it will not give you the dia of the wire rope required, it will give you the tension in each leg in kls .So its not hard to work out if the software says you have 2 tonnes of tension in each leg use a min of 2 tonne SWL slings or greater . The only danger i see with this soft ware is that it dose not calulate what size beams you have to have in the building to with stand the side forces the slings are applying to the building and i would recommend you consult the structural engineer on the job to find out , because the weakest link in the lift will always let you down.
