Great puzzle game with an even greater name, considering it’s always Brokin
The app features full-screen popup ads every 10 levels or so, which on its own is relatively not so bad— except once the ad has played, and it will play, you are soft locked out of the actual game because there is no way to close the ad. Typically those infinitely small and annoying ‘X’s are slightly visible in the top right corner, except they are now even more useless because they do nothing. Perhaps a moral boost, an insidious facade of hope and freedom in the darkness that is Merge Kingdoms™️, as we poor, commiserate souls are left to rot in their Mergeless Dungeons below…
Or alternatively, it requires that to play the game at all, I must close and reopen the app every 5 minutes by force of invasive brainrot, which is not particularly conducive to an analytical puzzle game.

Ads
Too many ads
Phenomenal, but there’s a few issues.
The game itself is really fun, it’s an amazing twist on the block puzzle genre. Has to be one of my favorite mobile games of all time, having its amazing mechanics and its silly character designs and mini dialogue. However, the main issues arise with the ads.
Most of the time I’m ending up with an ad between each and every level I complete, and I tend to complete these levels really quickly, maybe around 5-10 seconds on a particularly easy one. Between each of these levels, I end up with the same few 5 second ads over and over and over again, all of which being the worst kind that stop whatever other audio is playing on your phone like music or a picture-in-picture YouTube video. You can mute them immediately, sure, however with these happening so frequently it becomes a massive problem, especially when the YouTube example I gave before is in play and you have to switch which corner the video is in constantly because all of the ads have their mute buttons and x’s in different spots.
It also is very short, taking around a week of playing on and off if it’s become a go-to mobile game like it has for me. It could definitely go with archiving daily challenges so there’s a larger supply of levels to go to once you finish the main campaign instead of just going through what happened to be posted that week. The mechanics of each sin themselves are also great, however I do sometimes think gluttony and sloth feel like the same obstacle mechanic with different coats of paint. I feel like one of them could’ve been replaced while the other can be utilized in better ways, the sloth version feeling more fulfilled while gluttony’s is more like a glorified level border system.
Overall, absolutely great game, though it’s a little short and I would suggest playing with your data off or in places with bad cell service to stop all the ads.
Ad heavy
Fun game but very ad heavy with an ad after every completed level.

Too many ads, 2/10
Excellent Game Design
This developer has a knack for taking simple gameplay concepts and fleshing them out into attractive, engaging games. His games are a pleasure to look at and they’re fun to play.
Check out his game Close Cities. It also successfully combines a simple gameplay concept with attractive stylized art, music that suits the game, and pleasantly challenging puzzles.
I’ll be checking out more of his work.
Cool but…bug
I have been playing the game all day and it is a genuinely cool game with grate puzzles. and graphics but the developers need to fix the adds and the text, because I cannot read anything the weapon said because adds pop up and then the text is gone so if the developers can fix that it would be very helpful. I by no means am saying get rid of the adds we all need to make our coin some how but the text needs to be assessable. Thank you (I’m halfway in to “lust” wish me luck)
Good
It’s good overall and I do really like puzzle games but there is just so many adds and I sadly payed the three dollars for no adds but it’s a good game, I like it
Good Premise but Underdeveloped
The base game and its features make for a fun puzzle game, but some of the mechanics end up being lackluster or straight up duplicated (such as trees being identical to human obstacles). The level system leaves more to be desired forcing the player to go through an onslaught of easy levels before reaching the challenging puzzles.
Actually great
I’m never one to write reviews but this game is great and so I HAD to! The gameplay is simple enough that I pick it up for a few levels during my shift at a time and it doesn’t take up any time at all, and the ads are very far and few between so I don’t even mind watching them! 10/10 for mobile
