Will not connect. The amp has been great, but I haven’t been able to connect to the app once since buying the katana air ex. Pretty terrible user experience.

Practically unusable on iPad. Why do developrs do this?

There needs to be a serious UX overhaul on this app. It’s clunky and unintuitive and unappealing to the eye. I LOVE the hardware though. When I compare this to the Spark Live app, there’s a clear winner in terms of software design

I got this headset today to play my guitar and the Bluetooth won’t even pair at all. It will present the menu options and the headset is solid blue (showing it’s connected). Cmon Roland!

This app was useful for Katana 50mkII with AIRSTEP Kat but after last update now it won’t pair. Katana librarian is an alternative. I’ll go back to using macOS version.

With this 2.0 update I can no longer connect my airstep kat to the app anymore. While I could still connect it to other apps like the katana librarian. Please fix this.

I still getting the message communication error.. its a shame because the Headphone is amazing! Great effects and overall sound, but the App doesn't work...

Hoping the devs see this: I’ve been using this app for a couple years now and just this past week noticed that the Bluetooth device selection screen “whites out”. When opening the app and clicking the “Bluetooth Midi Device” button, it leads to a completely blank landing page. Previously I could select my Air and start playing. Now I can’t connect. Help!

I have had the app now for about a month with my Katana Air amplifier. The app freezes up almost every other day and has to be deleted and reinstalled. I hope the software people that developed this app are improving this. Especially since the Boss amplifiers are so tied to the app.

Being able to control my amp from my phone and never get up to fiddle with knobs is amazing and revolutionary. However the app itself is not intuitive and feels quite limiting. I can only seem to use certain combinations of effects which is frustrating given the library of amazing effects available. Clicking through the menus is confusing and it’s easy to forget what I have assigned to each “color” on each switch. I can only use three effects at once, one from BST/MOD, one from DELAY/FX and one from REVERB. Any other combination seems impossible. Maybe being able to have all 50 effects on at once would be too much but I don’t understand why it’s so limited in this way. The Katana Air is a great amp and I love picking my guitar up and having the amp wake up and be ready to go, it’s great. But I hope BOSS can rethink this app and make it more intuitive and powerful.
