BUBBA Fishing

A follow up to my post a year ago. The scale is great and the app has gotten better. I logged over 225 trips last year and recorded 2,657 fish. What would be great would be the ability to export this data. Is that possible??? The scale is great but the app could use some improvement. The “Total catches” shown for a trip does not match the actual catches. The “Total Species” is incorrect. Trips won’t save sometimes, the app crashes when trying to end a trip. Sometimes a trip ends by itself, must start a new trip. Seems like you must Autolog or manually enter catches. App gets confused on the total numbers if you do both. Data for the trip catches is different than individual catch data. If you edit one, both are not updated. Overall I like the scale and app however.

So far I like the app a lot. Trying to load past catches so that my PB’s are in there for going forward with Bubba, but the app won’t allow me to change the catch dates. Also, importing photos doesn’t import the metadata, so the fish catch details aren’t loaded in the app. That’s frustrating since I’m trying to find a good app for logging all my catches. Hopefully that gets updated.

You can do a competition with co angler for total number of fish but not 5 best fish. Terrible design. 99% of tournaments are best 5 fish.

Every trip I try to record will not save. The app hangs every time. I have to force close the app and when it restarts, it ask if I want to save the trip. I save the trip and the fish count is not saved. Neither is the species. I use this app with the Bubba Pro scale. It could be so much better if they would fix these bugs.

The scale is great and the app has a ton of potential. But it really needs some help fixing all the bugs, crashes and wrong info. It crashes constantly, tells you the wrong info, doesn’t count the total fish you caught properly. Needs a lot of fixing, especially when you have to pay for a subscription. If I’m paying for an app, then it should work like it should.

With the latest update to iPhone and the app itself, the app won’t stop crashing. Can’t scroll at all or it crashes. Useless app at this point.
