Bug ID: Insects Identifier

Please be aware that the “Insect Match Found! Pay to see the details” page is displayed even if your picture was of a blank piece of paper.

I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription but apple is not providing any means to do it. I’m charged weekly and I can’t do a thing about it. Please tell me show me how to cancel.

Don’t be fooled by this “free” app. The first identification you will try to do will popup a screen with “Subscribe for 35$”, then after declining it, another one appear “-50%”. After decline the second offer, nothing happens. Conclusion, while there’s so many free apps for unlimited insect identification (thanks to open-source dataset used for recognition), some try to charge you a subscription for data which are totally free plus author not having single contribution except for the app UI.

Identifies only down to possible class (Insect). I did that by counting it’s legs, and it didn’t cost me to do so.

No where does it say that you need to pay in order to identify the insect with the free trial. It is also impossible to delete the subscription through iTunes.

I have just moved and it is currently 3:10 in the morning and there are bugs that I don’t know what in my room and I just wanted to know what they were!! I don’t want to pay 100 dollars for one bug!! Worst app

you download it and then there is no way to use it without paying. stupid.

Sucked me in to a year’s subscription when I thought I had cancelled

It’s great. Just upload photos and you’ll see the possible insect detection along with other photos to compare. It was also a mystery with (in our case) fleas, as the various stages of development were throwing us off track. That said treatment is being done effective immediately afterwards! Also you can send a photo to their expert who will write back. Nothing like a real human experience combined. Thank you! Recommend this app!
