Bus Compass

As I work from home, I relied on this providing updates to confirm I’m available to pick up my young child. I can no longer count on this and now rely on calendar updates. Was nice when it was actually working.

I think the last update messed up more than it fixed. Last school year, I got notifications. So far this school year, since August, I don't get any notifications. Total bummer.

When it works, it’s fine. But many times we’ve gotten notifications that our son was dropped off at school before we got the notification that he was picked up. Our biggest complaint, however, is that the notifications just disappear after reading. Why can’t the notifications for the last 24 hours be posted under a tab in the app titled (get ready for this) “Notifications”? This would be especially helpful for when they change his bus number. Good idea, needs some work.

Doesn’t work more than it does. Logs me out constantly and then keeps telling me “something went wrong” and won’t let me log back in. It’s not even possible to report the issues to the developer. I’m deleting this terrible app.

This is a great idea, and when it’s working at 100% I love it, unfortunately it very rarely is 100% working. The map has been broken for a couple of weeks now, and the alerts are very unreliable. There is no end user support that I can find.

The app is inconsistent on sending alerts. One phone will get alerts that the bus is 2 stops away and another phone will get no alerts. The tracking is off on locations of the bus. It’s a great thought but there are several improvements that still need to be made in order to put trust into this app.

I really don’t get the purpose of this app because it does not do what it’s intended for. It does not give notifications when the bus is moving, or when it’s close to the stop. The map only works about 10% of the time, so I can’t even track the bus that way. It’s not “cellular data or gps” signal being lost because I live in a full coverage area. There really is no point in this app if it does not work properly!!

I will stop receiving notifications randomly for days, then will start receiving them again. There is zero reliability with this app. The idea is great, but way too many reliability concerns.

This app is highly unreliable and super frustrating. It always reads more information will become available as the school bus gets closer, but never updates any information even after the school buses already come and gone and my kids have missed. Their bus notifications are never on time or even show up at all to Let me know where my children are at.

It doesn’t notify you when it’s supposed to. It’s has wrong data. GPS on bus location is basically nonexistent. Yesterday I got alerts that My kid was picked up. He wasn’t even at school. Today it kept saying the bus was in route and showing it in a different neighborhood. He missed the bus. Uninstalling. This app is useless.
