I hate this ap. Aside from the fact that it never seems to work, when it does, the interface is not user friendly. It’s very clunky and not intuitive at all.

I hate this ap. Aside from the fact that it never seems to work, when it does, the interface is not user friendly. It’s very clunky and not intuitive at all.
The app doesn’t allow me to log in. The same username and password that I use to access online banking via my laptop that works, doesn’t work with the app. I keep getting invalid username/password when the information is correct.
People who care about online security should NOT use this app. It barely copes with complex passwords, oftentimes doesn’t accept the correct password until it suddenly does. Telephone support doesn’t help (much). They don’t even know what a password manager is! Eventually after locking yourself out, the support person unlocks you but then the app allows you back in (usually 2nd login attempt with identical password). It sends the Verification code to the SAME device! What’s the point of sending a 2factor authentication to the SAME APP!! aarrrggghhhhh And then tech support just put the phone down. :( It’s not possible to pass basic Quality assurance with security this bad. Better to avoid this app, it will make your banking security worse!! I don’t often write reviews, but this app is that bad!! Zero stars.
Give yourself a favor and don’t download this app, its a waste of time and you just going to be annoyed all the time because it never let you log in without a security code that they sent who knows where, its crazy!! Hate this app and give it 0 starts.
It seems the app can only be installed on one device. I had it on my iPhone and iPad. The One Time Passwords were only sent to my iPad, which I don’t carry with me all the time. I had to delete it from both devices then reinstall it on my phone. It also can’t seem to handle multiple accounts (corporate and personal)! It’s the worst banking app!
This app deserves zero stars as it creates more problems than it solves. When this app is first installed it asks for permission to send notifications. This is pretty normal so most people will accept notifications. The BIG issue is that, unknown to the user, when clicking accept the app changes the authentication message delivery mechanism in the online banking profile from email (default) to mobile phone. To make it WORSE, this app does not keep you logged in permanently. It will log you out after a while, and the next time you want to log in, either through the online banking platform or through the app, the authentication will be sent to....yes, you guessed it...to the mobile banking app that you no longer have access to! In order to regain access to your account you will have to somehow regain access and change the authentication message delivery to email. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app. Not worth the hassle.
Tried to use this as a substitute for their “web app” and it’s just as bad. Customer support says to “just keep trying” and it’ll eventually log you in... okay.
Unbelievable how crap this app is! Especially for a bank in a country where most of its clients make so much money, and still they can’t even afford to pay for a decent IT company to make an app that works.
Best of the Banking Apps from the Cayman Island banks. Adds an extra layer of security with a homegrown system of 2FA. It’s getting better with every release at least.
If there was an award for worst app, this app will make the list. Their last app was cumbersome but functional. This new app is horrible. Can’t log in, horrible design, etc. I’d rather visit the bank, wait in line, than use this app. Please Bank of Butterfield, start over with a new app. One star, deserves Zero.
