BuyNothing

This app made charges for a subscription (70 dollars Canadian) to my credit card without my permission or authorization. I noticed as soon as it happened and cancelled but charges still went through. Super sketchy/unethical. They must be making a lot of money. Disgusting!

how do I get this app OFF my phone

I love buy nothing, it's a great initiative. but this app is one of the worst I've ever used, it barely functions. please fix

I trued to log in through google, selected my profile, and then nothing happened. Tried with facebook and apple, same thing, it just does not log in. I closed the app, reset phone, nothing. Tried to log in through email, said it already existed as it’s the same as the google one. Reset my password, which worked, I used it and it said it was invalid.

Really really like the buy nothing concepts but this app is so glitchy, you cannot click on a post and then get back to the main feed without restarting the app

This app is designed to reduce the amount of waste in our society and reduce the carbon footprint created by buying new items. This is a wonderful thing. As with all Buy Nothing Groups, it takes a while to build up membership to the point where nearly everything is gifted and there are many items available. It is much easier to post and delete things that you want to give away than the Facebook group. However, there are some glitches. Responding to posts is hard and I often find I have to respond several times before it shows up. Also, I get an extra notification for messages that I have already read.

Don’t waste time downloading this. No one is using it. If you’re familiar with the Facebook groups, this app makes it about the “stuff”, not the people. There’s nothing neighborly about it. This app is total garbage.

See my reviews on gratitude. It has been amazing. I have received law books ,a desk, a chicken cup that I was able to make it into a cat playpen, chairs such a nice chairs. It looks so nice. And because of these gifts I have been able to proceed with my life that was at a halt for awhile this App gives me hope dealing with all the wonderful people. Thank you so much!

There is a glitch on the login page, where the hourglass will continue spinning until eternity, but the registration / login actually worked. You still receive the verification code email, and if you use it to login, it’ll work on first login attempt after registration. Inside the app, it’s easy to use, easy to understand. Solid app. Just needs a more active user pool (but I think people are having a hard time registering). I’ll try to help people in my local area get on this app!

App is life-changing in terms of helping to acquire what you need on a tight budget, being environmentally conscious, uncluttering your place of unneeded items in a responsible way and building a community of new neighbors and friends. I’ve loved the app- especially as someone who doesn’t really use facebook.
