Calculator Plus v2

I like the fact that I can size the display to suit my needs but there are a few problems I cannot get the display to change from Scientific to Standard using the Portrait Calculator Layout. The number of decimal places cannot be set. The history display covers the keys making it impossible to use the tape and calculator at the same time.

Since the Sequoia update, the stock Apple calculator has become unbelievably small. I downloaded this because it showed up under my search for Mac calculators, I downloaded it. After seconds, I’ve already replaced my Apple calculator. I would pay for this. It’s obvious after using that this was made for an iPad though. I have a request for improvement. I personally don’t need any of the scientific options. It would be nice to be able to hide these. I would do fine with a simple 10-key. I would like the history to be able to show in the sidebar. Whether this is within the same frame or pops out from the side doesn’t matter. I don’t like the pop over window. I need to see history so that I can retype it sometimes. This no possible with the pop over window. There is apparently a vertical option, however, I’m guessing that only works on an iPad and doesn’t have the option on the Mac.

Clean, intuitive UI and useful functions to do pretty much anything required for everyday needs. Love how certain functions are defined as you enter the calculation and the quick mode toggles, to express results in different forms. Thank you, Wern, for this excellent app!

This is a beautiful calculator that is generously developed and provided at no cost and without ads — a rarity in the world today! Edit: the developer provides the following directions on how to use the repeating operations feature. You can perform repeated operations by taking advantage of the answer keyword ("ans"). This can be clicked with your mouse or be typed with your keyboard. For instance, if you want to begin with 6, and then repeatedly multiply by 2, you can press the following buttons in order: - press 6, - press = (calculator outputs 6), - press Ans*, - press ×, - press 2, - press = repeatedly. *optional; the app automatically inserts the "ans" keyword if you press a math operator button that requires a leading input value. If you're typing on your keyboard, you can do the same thing. That is: - type "6", - press return/=, - type "ans*2", - repeatedly press return/=. Notice that this mechanism allows you to do the same for complex expressions, e.g., it is possible to perform (5-ans)^2 repeatedly.

I like everything about this app. Please keep it free as it is now.

I recommend this app because this is the only calculator app that I can find that’s free, no adds, and not a scam! I love this app, and I think apple should use this as the missing calculator app for the IPad. I totally recommend.

This is a great app. It is simple, it works well, has a beautiful, clean interface, and no ads! And you can easily switch between modes. I'd love the history tape showing as well. If you would do that, that would be great. In any case, it's still a fabulous app that will be a go-to for me!
