Please fix the version
We paid for the premium version bc we liked very much the selection of music available & especially all of the options for sleep. UNFORTUNATELY, very few selections for sleep play on their own for an entire night’s sleep, meaning that they cut off after a period of time. A few options last 5, 7, even one lasts 8 hours but these selections have variations in the music that fluctuate up and down and wake us up after we’ve drifted off. We have found a few we really like BUT the sleep timer, which is SUPPOSED to allow you to set a time for the music to end DOES NOT WORK. The music may shut off involuntarily after 45 minutes, an hour or maybe two. This once again wakes us up and causes disrupted sleep—something we were hoping to get help with by using this app. I have repeatedly reached out to the tech department and have gotten no response. If they do not fix this soon, we so will be requesting a full refund. If the sleep timer worked I would give a 4 star rating. 5 stars if there were more sleep music options that either 1) lasted a normal 7-8 hour night’s sleep or 2) had sleep music that was more monotone with less fluctuation of high and low notes.
Downloaded and installed the app. Was ready for calming piano. Got 5 minutes of very loud commercials that don't relate to me, then a "break" of silence. This is a pay to play app it seems. What a joke
I absolutely LOVE THIS APP. I LISTEN TO THESE CHANNELS EVERY SINGLE DAY. At night, after coming home from being a waitress all evening, i put on the Glacial Cello channel or even one of the planet channels. And have a glass of whiskey, and then i can wind down and relax. When im cleaning the house, i love the 90’s channel. It keeps me motivated. But my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CHANNEL IS THE ZEN CHANNEL. Its just so calming and relaxing!!! My critters even mellow out after a few minutes with the channel!! When my two year subscription is up next year, I WILL RENEW WITH THE LIFE TIME MEMBERSHIP. THANK YOU for creating such a wonderful app!!!!!!!!
I’ve been using the app nearly since it originated. Always loved the ability to move between nature sounds white noise and many genres of music recently my rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle caught up with me, and I developed significant tinnitus. This app has literally saved my sanity. Thank you.
I love this app! it has lots of music/sounds. but you have to pay for all the good music/sounds. it meets all of my requirements except for the payment part. it also has a lot of adds. 😒 adds. the adds are the most annoying when you are trying to fall asleep 😴but, it has music for every mood! With all of that being said my favorite station/channels are Work beats, Sleep, soundtrack chill out and summer tracks. my favorite noise would have to be the green noise because you have to pay for the rest of them. hope this gave you enough information, Willow J. W.
The variety of music is nice. I absolutely love the choice of nature sounds. I listen to Ocean tides every night to go to sleep. My favorite music station is “Very Peaceful Acoustic Guitar”. I also enjoy the meditation station.
Would like to upgrade but too expensive
I’ve used Calm Radio for years. I justified a separate subscription in addition to Apple Music because I found they had original content and mixes that were very effective for relaxation (and I have mental health issues). But, I’m starting to suspect that they’ve collected lifetime subscriptions and gone on a permanent vacation, leaving the app to autopilot. There haven’t been any updates in ages, then recently, the icon changed (not even a good change), and that’s it. Today, I went to the Top 40 station and it played all hits from 2017. I’m starting to wonder now if I’ve been over paying for something that no longer is being managed or has value. I’ve emailed their customer service to see if perhaps there’s an explanation - others have said that stations are just repeating playlists that don’t change, but I’ve honestly never noticed because I often just use it for background music when I’m stressed. But, that’s actually pretty messed up if that’s true. Wondering what they’re doing with that subscription money. Update: I received a response, but sadly I am saying goodbye to Calm Radio after several years. I love the music and I love the idea, but some of the playlists have not been updated - the pop stations do not have any music newer than 5 years ago. It doesn’t make me feel confident that anything else has been updated, either. I really do like the idea of having more obscure music sorted by purpose, and it is a great idea for music therapy and treating mental / health conditions. But, I can do that on my own through other apps. If I’m going to be paying for something, I want it to be fresh and not just in appearance. I can understand the raised price for inflation, but it does kind of pile on. The apps are great. I just wish they’d updated with more content.
