Car Camera DVR. PRO

The title say it all. What's the point of having it running if it fails to record anything unless you just want to discharge your phone.

Handy app for those of us who don't have a dedicated camera installed in the car - I use it often. A couple of things I would love to request of the developer: Could you do something to make it clearer that the drive is being recorded. The 'rec' button currently throbs when active and is quite difficult to see. An option to blank the screen once in motion would be a great feature methinks. Lastly, and perhaps not possible due to limits of the iPhone ios - can the app be made to continue recording in the background when running another app - such as a GPS?

Awesome quality app. Nice sharp playback- (don't be fooled by lagging during recording) I have my phone on a suction-cup bracket and it looks amazing. Good audio capture, time log, and speed log. Well worth the money spent!

The audio lags behind the video by at least two seconds. This is very annoying and has been going on some time, but it seems that the developer has not updated the app in nearly a year. Also, I wish it had a few additional features: -4K at 60 fps. Currently you must choose 1080p at 60 fps, or if you want 4K it maxes out at 30 fps -I wish we were able to add a line of custom text that would appear at the top, just like the date/time, speed, etc.

I’ve been super happy with this app. My only complaint is perhaps a misunderstanding about when videos are overwritten. It’s not kept until space runs out. You need to go to the settings to choose how many videos are maintained in temporary before they are deleted. I wish I had known that and that the default was five. Recently had a video the police wanted and it was deleted with no way to retrieve that I can find.

I have tried multiple recording apps, and this is the most reliable I've found. However, it's missing one function that seems really basic, and that's the ability to select which camera to use. Every other similar app like this lets me select front or back camera, but this only uses back camera. There are other applications where loop recording is very helpful, and it's a pain to record when you can't easily see the frame of what's being recorded. For example, I draw, and I like to record progress videos of my work as I draw. It would be very helpful if I could use the front camera, set it on the tripod, and then sit down and see what's being filmed. Is there any chance this could be added? It seems like such a predictable feature that I keep looking for it in hopes I'm just missing it... but... have never found it. haha.

Who, in 2024, sells an app that won’t run in the background? …. these guys! If you open any other app, Google maps, Waze, a music player, anything, this Dashcam stops recording. Ridiculous.

My phone is mounted in an enclosure. When your app is turned on, its upside down. I have to either remove the phone and wiggle it around until it rights itself or go in and out of settings, which will trigger the screen to self correct. This is a new problem that was not there before your recent changes. otherwise, its a great app! UPDATE: as of April 6, 2023 it’s still upside down.

App wont open on my iphone… bummer

Paid $12.88 and am truly disappointed. The recording function is inconsistent, the screen typically freezes after a few minutes / seconds and doesn’t respond to app buttons. The recorded video’s aren't always reviewable, and those that I can review, typically freeze mid way through.
