Radio Caroline started the UK's offshore radio boom in the 1960s, and continued to broadcast to Europe from the North Sea until 1990, defying storms and hostile governments.
We still have our radio-ship Ross Revenge, which is used for special broadcasts, with our regular programmes coming from land-based studios. However the spirt of the offshore days remains and Radio Caroline's presenters continue to have the freedom to play a wide range of album music from today and yesterday.
