Disappointing experience with misleading offers
The Cashrewards app is straightforward to use, but my experience has been frustrating and disappointing. While the app advertises enticing cashback offers, I have found some to be misleading. For instance, three of my nine purchases have been declined for cashback, all involving Amazon. I later discovered that only specific Amazon categories are eligible for cashback, which wasn’t made clear when I signed up. This lack of transparency feels deceptive, especially since I made those purchases solely for the promised cashback. To realise afterward that I wasted my time and money on companies I wouldn’t have otherwise shopped with is infuriating. Of the remaining six cashback claims, they’re still pending, and if approved, I won’t receive the funds until March. That’s a significant delay, making the rewards feel far less rewarding. Adding to the inconvenience, the app requires you to accumulate at least $10 before you can withdraw, forcing you to wait even longer if your balance falls short. While the concept of earning cashback is appealing, the execution leaves much to be desired. The misleading conditions and long waits are quickly outweighing the app’s benefits for me.
