Cast Player: Your Photos and Videos on Chromecast

Downloaded this when google photos refused to cast, and it worked great. Does what it says: cast your photos. Nothimg more is needed. Furthermore: no IAP! Great, love it.

Mwoahhh, Ok you can see pics but not the ones you want. It shows only a very small selection. Further more: the pics it shows don’t fit your TV screen and are not positioned in the center. Time for some homework!

I have tried several player for ipad but castplayer is great! Plays photos and videos without bugs and without interfering other apps like youtube.

I don’t know how I was able to load the few videos and photos that I did. There was no link to access photo library. The first time I used it took too many steps to access and load pictures and too long to load them with no visible means to view load progress. Not very useful. I have one now that is very good, very easy and quick to o use showing percentage of load progress. This app here needs a lot of work to make it useful.

I'm using it to view photos on a 4K TV. It works well but resolution is limited to HD.

Tried several apps including Chromcast, All Cast, and Photo cast; those all have bugs and give inconsistent performance. None would display your iPhone videos upright. Cast Player basic is smooth and intuitive and does not flip your videos which can be very annoying.

however, it needs a slider to jump places in videos
