Very helpful in resolving issue I was having.
This happened to my husband last year and now myself just recently where the app just stops collecting data so you lose out on points. That's fine except Castlight won't resolve it because it's beyond 30 days despite me logging in the data daily. Looking at reviews this isn't just an issue that impacted us. Face ID never works either. I've seen the developer respond to reviews such as this that this doesn't seem right to contact them. I started with contacting them and that didn't resolve anything. So that response isn't very helpful. They also close out responses so you can't reply and you have to start a new one. Yes it still connects to the original but it's rude. I wouldn't use this app at all if my company didn't require it. I have lost about 100 possible points due to their app.
Just cut to the chase already. Huge waste of time and resources.
Castlight doesn’t just glitch—it actively contradicts its own policies and FAQ. Customer service reps give conflicting answers, deny valid health data, and avoid providing the agreement they claim to enforce. When asked for documentation or clarity, they stall, deflect, or admit they “don’t know.” After weeks of being stonewalled and misled, it’s hard not to question whether Castlight is incentivized not to track your activity properly, because accurate tracking means honoring a contract they don’t want to uphold. If you’re serious about tracking your health and being rewarded for it, contact your employer directly. This third-party platform doesn’t serve you, it protects itself. Report them to your benefits/HR rep to let them know, they have done it to you, and others. I recommend leaving your negative experiences on here for others to find and support their experiences.
The Castlight app functionality is fine, but the content is often geared towards selling the user services or medical care from select providers. When I tried some of those providers, I was very unhappy with the experiences. Some of the articles have been very good, but disclaimers warn you not to view them as medical advice. Handy for tracking diet, exercise & sleep patterns and for help in developing healthier habits. Incentives depend on how generous your employer is willing to be. I’m unaware of any employee who ever won a prize in the drawings.
Castlight mobile is really easy to use and very reliable.
I really like the Castlight iOS and iPadOS apps, and would give them both a much higher rating except… A) I don’t see the setting that would allow me to use FaceID anywhere. I even called and text chatted with Support and was told to go to the Settings menu but the option wasn’t there. B) I’m not able to earn points from Teladoc because Castlight doesn’t seem to recognize my enrollment in any of their health maintenance programs. Because of this I’m just short of being able to recommend the app to my colleagues.
Apple health data is not syncing to Castlight. No steps, sleep or food tracking are added to my Castlight account 🙁

My points stopped syncing for sleep, meals, steps and total brain activity since Feb 13. Please fix this issue, thank you.
