Unfortunately, getting an alert on my phone to watch “live news” is pointless. When I open the app and press one of a few red buttons saying “LIVE NEWS” I am led to absurd advertisements about swimwear and vacations or national news shows - and the live news that I’m seeking may be happening - but I can’t find it via this app. Very disappointing. I won’t be seeking my news via this app any more. I would give this negative stars if I could, based on the misleading, non-functioning app as I consider finding news a serious matter.

I find this news app to be some power. It is not refreshed often, some stories are a week old, and you can only see the top three stories unless you keep scrolling down to look for more. Very disappointing for a big news station. And on Sunday night, I check the weather for the week under the next weather app on your site and it gave weather from Friday. That is disgraceful. Get on the ball with updating the site please.

When I click on links or notifications to specific stories they seem to never open on the app. Instead, I’m either brought to the homepage to find the story on my own or to a page that seems to not load. I like the station too much to give up on it but please fix the app.

Update your app to be more compatible with a tablet. Every other news source has figured this out.

Does not support an iPad in landscape mode. No rotation like the present version. This is very hard to use. Bring back the Features of the old version. This is only designed for people using smart phones in Portrait mode.

Can’t believe WCCO is making people move to this from the fantastic weather app I’ve used for years. There is no radar and it is like the weather section on a newspaper. Unless you want to watch videos. So disappointed.

Is this a “prank app?” I’m shocked that this is the next gen app for their awesome weather app…sad to see that’s going away.

Not a robust app. Nor intuitive to find anything. Weather is less than half the information of the current app they are discontinuing. Current app. Makes it easy to follow weather elsewhere as well. Sad as I have always liked WCCO weather best but won’t put up with hassle.

I had the WCCO weather app. I loved it. It was easy to use and was very complete in information for where I live, not this overall app. There is no weather map, the info pertains to the cities (which I don’t live in), and it’s filled with videos. Very disappointed in the format! I see why most people I know use apps for strictly weather vs. mixed topic apps. This doesn’t work. I will definitely be looking for an app that compares to the old WCCO weather app. 😢

It’s interesting how all these companies feel they constantly need to upgrade, and that someone thinks it’s better. Probably tied to advertising and revenue generation, more tracking and selling to third parties. Fortunately Apple released their own weather app recently on IOS 16.3. Bye bye WCCO!
