Deceptive subscription fee
App requires a subscription fee, which would be fine if it said anywhere that there was a subscription fee prior to installing and authenticating with linear. Pretty deceptive. I immediately uninstalled and revoked access.
$5/week or $50/year
I can’t keep paying subscriptions for simple apps. Guess I’ll just go back to the web app.
Would be great, but uses predatory pricing
The features work as advertised, but this app charges you $4.99 per week to unlock all features, expecting you won’t notice. I’m not paying $20 a month to use a third-party app that wants to trick me into paying more
Read comments before installing
I should have been more careful. I signed in and realized this is paid and not from Linear itself.
Paywall
You have to sign in and then you hit a paywall. Erased the app immediately.
Bad paywall practice
Paid app with no free tier, just a 7 day trial
After downloading the app it prompted me to sign in to which I signed in to my work account and authorized into my company’s workspace. ONLY THEN did it reveal that its a paid subscription app, if I knew it’d be like this I wouldn’t have authorized it into the workspace. If it did reveal the subscription paywall early on before signing in and authorization I would have just uninstalled, but giving it access and only then it would hold me at payment threw me away and forced me to write this review.
Immediately prompted to sign up for paid monthly subscription
The app lets you download for free and even link your Linear account before prompting you to pay for a monthly subscription service to use any of the features beyond reading data.
This is borderline scamming. There is nowhere on the store page that mentions this. Not to mention, the underlying service is already free! Uninstalled.
What am I paying for?
This is a terrible app. It’s a decent attempt at a workaround until you actually try to use it. Free is probably fine for read, but it breaks down almost everywhere and absolutely doesn’t warrant a paid plan
Not really but I’m going for
I’m so happy you found her
Great homage to linear
Does everything I need it to. Looks great while doing it. Appreciate all the hard work put in by the developer.
