great app but the absence of some features stings
easy integration with twitch, snappy and responsive and easy integration with all the usual 3rd party emote sources. ostensibly does everything you’d want a twitch chat app to do but there are some missing and/or broken features that annoy me. the ability to search people by @ is absent/periodically disappears. one has to force close and restart the app to see any emote changes or updates. my biggest point of pain is the apps inability to automatically switch between light and dark mode with the rest of the device
Gets the job done.
Works as needed but doesn't register all chat names for autocompletion. Lack of spell check makes typing cumbersome when simple typos are made. Can take up to 15min for newly added emotes on 7tv to appear.

Great app if you care about chat only
As title says, this app is amazing if the only feature you want is emotes and chat. However, as a twitch replacement it’s horrible. You basically have to swipe from left side of screen to right to show options and then you can click on playback button for the stream to show. But here the thing, you can’t see it in landscape mode and the player glitches out a lot of the time. So I can only suggest it as a chat app and not a twitch replacement. If you want a twitch replacement then Frosty for Twitch is what you want else Chatsen is good if you want an app for chatting only.
doesn’t work well with ios 17
ios autocorrect takes priority over autocompleting emote names. it’s very frustrating because this used to work perfectly prior to the ios update
update: changing my review to 5 stars. it seems uninstalling the app and reinstalling it fixed the issue.
Great, replying is difficult
will you port to mac?
Weird blurred out bar when enabling full screen mode with chat
Tried out this app and everything was working well, but if you enable the chat by pressing the full screen button in the middle of the stream, some weird blurred out box appears at the bottom left of the screen
7TV emotes missing
It no longer shows 7tv emotes. I’ve uninstalled/ reinstalled several times. I liked this app but a lot of the streamers I follow use 7tv emotes so I’m switching to frosty which I saw someone mention in the reviews. Also I saw another review mention the built in player being meh, I’ve never used it I just popped out the twitch stream and overlayed it over the chatsen app.
Needs chat and overall UI improvements
I keep going back to Frosty is because it lets me select the font and emote size for chat. I like having bigger text. This app feels like an android app with convoluted menus and swipes. Needs a UI overhaul. Pinned channels at the bottom of the screen is really nice. I also like that you can move between channels without stopping the video player.
