I feel so scammed.
I bought this app on a whim when they advertised the discounted “deal” from their way overpriced initial one-time purchase of $200 to about $14. Because it was such a a good “deal”, I bought it for what I thought would be future use. But wow, after some time, I opened the app to play around with it and realised that it’s now been changed to a subscription plan. Makes me wonder if that price drop was just a scheme to milk as many consumers as possible before implementing the subscription plans. So what did my $15 buy me exactly? Nothing. And I checked the version history and it doesn’t seem like the devs do very frequent or amazing updates anyway, so their subscription costs are way overpriced for what I would get. Even if I had a practical use for cinemagraphs, I would rather use other cinemagraph apps than support a company that seems way too money-grubbing for my taste.
