City Takeover

I used to love this game and played for weeks on end. But the team behind the game has decided to massively ramp-up the number of ads served and now it is just so frustrating. Constant critical-moment ad interruptions, and frequently being served 2x and 3x ads back-to-back. Maybe they make more $$ now, but it’s a terrible experience for players.

Ads ruining the game

There are plenty of other games that are pretty much the exact same as this such as cell expansion wars that don’t have nearly as many ads! And their ads are shorter too! I’ll stick to playing those ones! Ads even pop up half way through levels completely ruining your flow!

More levels needed

Really enjoyed this but once you finish the levels it starts repeating them which is disappointing.

Brilliant game, very addictive, but it needs more levels. You can finish all the levels in less than a day and then you just keep repeating them, it needs something else. And like other reviews have said, there are a lot of ads but they’re only 5 second ads.

Too many ads and just isn’t a quality game, game developers on mobile now a shameless and have no back bone actually make a good game

Understanding you need to generate money through ads but putting them so they interrupt you in the middle of gameplay is an absolutely stupid strategy! As a result I’ve deleted the game!

Its a good game overall it is very good when you are bored but there are TOO MANY ADDS!!!!!!!

I like this game, it’s fun to pass the time when you’re waiting for something. I’ve already written a review for this, but I had to lower my rating. It can be extremely frustrating, due to bugs. Like for example after you beat a level an ad plays, but sometimes the x button breaks and you can’t press out of the ad. Only way to fix it is to close the app and open it again but then you have to restart the level you already finished (so annoying!). Also I’d love to see new levels, there’s only a handful of levels before they all just start repeating ones you’ve already beaten. I also find that the AI can be soooooooo completely broken. For example if you lower their score down to 9 so they should only have 1 line to fight/ defence, they will still have 2 so your work was for nothing. They will sometimes also target you from the get go- making it literally impossible to beat the level as there’s nothing you can do but block until you slowly lose. I also hate the fact that even if you’re evenly matched in points with an enemy you will lose a fight between an AI for no apparent reason, they have no support from another building, neither do you, but you just lose and you can’t do anything about it. I’d also love to see a non-AI version of this. Playing with AI can be boring and I feel playing against actual people with some sort of chat function could make this a lot more fun. Also the ADS! The game should not stop you playing mid-level due to an ad. Let me finish the level before you play an ad. Also another thing, why am I getting an Ad for City Takeover, WHILE I’m playing City Takeover. I can’t download it twice- why are you showing me another ad?
