Cityscapes: Sim Builder

Too many bugs to enjoy. Every time one reopens the map, there’s a different population and shopping and job capacity. Buildings that expand range, for example school bus yard or ambulance service, or capacity, for example teaching colleges, asphalt parks, residential parks, or even districts, tend not to work properly or are bugged, especially when stacked. Another example is that range buildings like the ambulance service or school bus yard will actually say “water range increased” when placed, even though they have nothing to do with water range. These are issues that should have been fixed long ago. I also agree with some other reviews that the game doesn’t present much of a challenge—it’s very easy to meet demands and upgrade population. The later game actually gets easier rather than harder as tax revenue levels up quickly.

So I love this game. Thank goodness my major was in Urban Planning. However, if I pause the game for the night the city is going to go down hill. We need a pause button!

I love sims! I have really enjoyed playing this game until my city gets large and the buildings no longer register that I have adequate trash pickup or enough electricity. It becomes so frustrating because I currently have buildings that have trash all in front of them when my trash meter says it has room for SEVERAL thousand more. Then my buildings level down ): or my factories will level down when they need more workers, after I build 8 of the biggest buildings. These bugs make me want to delete the game all together. But I enjoy the gameplay to pass time. I just wish these things could be fixed and then it would be a 10/10 game.

This game started out as a very fun, very addictive city-building game. However, after about a month of play, it has a fun-killing glitch: it erases all your progress on maps that you've worked hard to build up. It erases all the special buildings and landmarks that you earned/bought and placed on those maps -- those buildings and landmarks don't even get put back in your overall "storage". They just flat-out vanish. All the stuff you earned from their monthly event? GONE. I tried emailing support, and after one canned response asking for more info, I have not heard back. Other players I'm friends with report the same issue and same lack of response and help. It's with a heavy heart I say this: pass this game up. Do not bother with it. Not until they address the glitches and issues and FIX THEM.

The game is stuck on level 5. I’ve got the stats for level 6, probably even level 7. It just won’t advance. “Contact support” in FAQ tells me to repeat the actions I used to get there in the first place. This shouldn’t be on Arcade with a bug this severe. Update: It seems that it wasn’t so much that the game wouldn’t advance. It wouldn’t advance on that particular day. It took waiting at least a day for it accept. I’m now assuming this is by design… therefore rating stands; that’s a terrible UX and game design.

I just wish you could zoom out more. Absolutely love this game. The level of detail you can work on the cities is awesome.

This game needed a bit more time in QA because the bugs make it unplayable. Developer needs to get back to work because this game isn’t ready for full release.

I fell in love with this game fast, but in 24 hours I am already losing a lot of interest because every time I open the game up at least 1/4 of my buildings have disappeared and it’s like I have to restart in zones and it’s really an inconvenience having to go back and re-place buildings. I love the graphics and all of the things you can do in this game. This game has very big potential, but there are a lot of bugs that need to be squashed for it to be enjoyable, hoping that it will be soon and not before I delete the app.

Very fun l really it enjoy l just wish there was a way to mass move instead of having to tap each building multiple times

I love this game. Been playing for quite a while now and it’s not loading anymore. The bar only gets halfway and I can’t do the trials when it does load. It asks to share information and I do and then it freezes and doesn’t load anymore. They handled the problem swiftly and definitely knew wha they were talking about!!
