I tried watching “Angel on My Shoulder” (1946) on Classix and Tubi, which had the same incredibly blurry image with ghosting and bouncing around the screen. However, upon watching it on Plex, I was pleased to find a clear, stabilized image in which faces were actually recognizable and there wasn’t any ghosting of the images. Of course, there’s the irritation of commercial advertising, which many of us grew up having to watch before VCRs made fast-forwarding possible, but the image quality makes it worthwhile. This review is based on this first movie that I’ve tried, so I don’t know how applicable it is to other 1940s movies. I probably can’t update this review after comparing several other movies, but I’ll try to add a further review after additional comparisons that will enable to settle on a single app for classic movies. I don’t know whether Criterion offers this same movie, but the subscription price makes it quite prohibitive when I subscribe to eight other major streaming services already. Others state that the Criterion and MUBI (possibly the same developer) apps are unreliable, with unresolved buffering, so a subscription to those services would be unthinkable.

A joy to have this app , everyone should get to enjoy the wonderful classics presented tv and movies ,enjoy!

Took my money and no longer works. Total rip off.

. . . then find another way to watch them. Everything I tried here looks like it was ripped to 240p, then compressed, then smeared with Vaseline.

The app won’t launch on my iPad. I’ve even tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, but each time I try to open the app it instantly closes.

App opens but all screens are blank.

I was watching the Dick Van Dyke show when all of a sudden I heard described video.

Love classic movies and this site fantastic options including some little known films.

I have been using this app for a very long time, I have never had an issue, ever. It works on all my devices, always. I am not sure what people expect from these old movies but if you are a real fan of old films you will understand that the sound quality and picture quality are not the best, but it was the best they could do at the time the movie was made. Frankly, if you are having serious trouble with the app, update your device or get a new device. I have not had any issues at all ever. Thanks to the developers great app, and great idea love the new live TV. And thanks for making the app universal, it rocks on the new Apple TV.

It s a very good app to watch old movies.I m a big fan from old movies but I cannot find laurel ans Hardy
