Won’t match u with anyone

I was excited that everyone here says this is almost the same as playing code names. However, when I try to join a game. It doesn’t let me. The only thing the app lets me do is play the daily guesses. 😫

I tried both two player and four player random match. The buttons don’t work to match with a random person. You either have to make a private game or don’t play.

I used to absolutely love this game! It’s so fun to play with friends and family. The new update, however, took away the feature to play with strangers! I used to be able to join a game as a setter or guesser and it would wait to put me in a game until it could find other players. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they took this part of the game away. It was so fun to play with others especially when my friends weren’t available. Please add this back. No clue why you would take it away! Also, the ads are getting ridiculous. There are way too many.

I liked the game Codenames but this app won’t let me click on a word when it’s my turn. N sometimes it deletes all the words that a teammate clicked already…. To many issues.

Lightweight free version of the popular game with minimal ads.

This is a fantastic app version of Codenames, which I love. You can play with strangers or with friends, or even make friends with other players! Unlike other phone games that feel like they melt my brain, this is actually challenging and stimulating. It’s been a great activity during the pandemic. Also, the developer and his family members actually play the game and enjoy it, so that’s a great recommendation in itself. I met them through the app and they’re really nice! And fantastic players. I highly recommend CodeWords ☺️.

This should be the top game in the App Store. I love playing this!

I like to play with my friends in real life with my one phone. We ain’t fans of the update. Can we down grade it so we can do that again?

For a game like this, I have no idea how the developers thought it was a good idea to not include a way to play online with random people and not just friends. That hurts their user base more than forcing people to find friends helps because many people like me will just delete the app as soon as they realize. And two, I was really hoping I’d be able to just use this app as sort of a board for Code Name, but I can’t do that either.
