Almost perfect
It took me awhile to decide purchasing the premium version. I’m glad I did. Free version is pretty good but with limitations. Premium version works really well for me. I can connected to few cloud services and stream from them on my phone and car play as well. I wish CloudBeats allow user to update metadata of the audiobook from the app. Overall, great app, one of the best audiobook player.
Brilliant app.
I use this app for playing audio books on my iPad whilst also reading them along side a reader app. This has become perfect this since a recent update now supports Split-view. So I have my reader app on the left (2/3) and this app on the right side (1/3) to easily select which chapter to play and control the audio book playback, whilst I turn through the pages on the other reader app on the left.
It supports many cloud storage service (I use it perfectly with DropBox) and can keep the files in the app for off-line playback if you want.
You can customise how many seconds the forward/reverse buttons jump, as well as repeat 1 chapter or repeat the whole section (very useful for studying). The controls and layout is intuitive and un-cluttered.
An excellent app that I have used for years and worth every cent.
Won’t play your local files
No option to browse for your local folders to obtain already downloaded files?
Swipe stopped working
Definitely a good app in theory but it has some bugs, and for some reason swiping left and right to jump back and forward stopped working with the latest update. Frustrating. Still probably as good or better than most of the alternative apps out there.
I already have CloudBeats and thought...
I already have CloudBeats and thought this was was super special for AudioBooks.. honestly I can’t find any difference really... they both seem to have the same features. If there are features, it is not apparent. But I’m giving it 5 stars because i like to separate my books from my music… best app of its kind. So easy to use. No sub… just amazing
Insta Buy
I didn’t hesitate for a second before buying this app. It has everything I’ve been looking for. It connects to multiple online storage options, including the big names and self-hosted platforms like Nextcloud. This allows me to download content to my device and keep all my audiobooks in one place. Between this app and Audible, I am completely set. Thank you for creating this app; it was a real find!
Great application, but can’t find rewind or fast forward
If there is no rewind or fast forward, does it mean that you can only hear very missable stuff? To be fair, this seems to be a problem with a lot of other such players. Just a rewind 15 seconds, and a forward 15 seconds button would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, a great app. Thanks. Much appreciated.
Simple, easy to use but annoying too
I found this app did exactly what I needed it to do. Play audio files from my google drive. And while I think the app does its job well for the most part it is extremely annoying in just one area that ruins the whole experience - After listening for some time especially if it’s a long audio series, the app just stops working around the start of a new chapter or at the 2 minute mark. You then have to close the app, reopen it and then navigate the playback to the exact place you left off. It can get very annoying, like when I’m taking a walk or when I’m washing dishes or even more annoying when I’m taking a shower and I have to come out with soap all over just to replay my audio file. I hope this issue gets fixed soon because it’s starting to get old really fast
Can’t play songs from files
I want a player that can play from Files stored on the phone and it seems that either this can’t or extremely confusing on how to do it.
Also, don’t like how I have to give it full access to ALL Google Drive if I wanna play from Google Drive. That seems very intrusive.
Great App
Would get 5 stars if it had a volume booster, besides that it is great app for listening to your audiobooks.
