You have to have some prior knowledge to do the clozes, but if you do, it’s excellent! i’m practicing my french (i’m A1+ level) and improving my english vocab (i’m around C1). The developers seem like amazing people!
Would be happy to pay the subscription, but the really bad UX and Minecraft looking design is off-putting. Otherwise good experience.
Interesująca aplikacja Mało intuicyjna Droga Ale myśle ze warto poświecić jej czas
A great database of spoken language sentences, quite many options including speech understanding and selecting correct words. All wrapped up in gamified form. A lot of languages to learn. One of the best apps for intermediate students.
This is a very good app to quickly learn vocabulary in foreign language. The words are presented in the groups (collections) according to their frequency, and are always used in the context of the sentence. Each word that you are supposed to learn comes in several different sentences so that you could get used to the different contexts of word usage. You have two options to practice words: multiple choice (cloze) or typing in the necessary word. The latter option is excellent for active recall, a practice that greatly improves active use of vocabulary. Some basic knowledge of the language is recommended, but it is not necessary if you like learning in immersion. This app was essential to improve my Turkish language skills and got me to the point when I can read texts and proceed to deepening my language with an app like Lingq. However, I still use Clozemaster for Turkish and learning new languages, like Czech.
I love the app and the website, I think it’s an interesting tool to add to your language learning routine. The only thing I dislike about the app is that you can only access the basic open-cloze game. The reading/listening exercises are only available on the website :(
I am learning English and Clozemaster is a good additional learning tool!
The best app for language learning
I just found this to help me learn Serbian. I love the ability to listen or work on my grammar. I do both. I highly recommend.
