Coinomi Wallet

Cloud-based wallet. Seems simple enough but I’m no expert. I’m sure a physical wallet would be better but this is mostly just low stakes gambling for fun for me.

Right after getting a new iPhone I had to recover my Coinomi wallet, which was expected and no big deal. I had my pass phrases and it easily recovered my wallet. However, when I went to recover each coin one by one, Avalanche didn’t recover, even though all of the others did. Fortunately, I didn’t buy a ton of it, but that’s still money stolen from me by Coinomi, and I’ll never forgive them for it. And I’m going to transfer all of my other coins out of their wallet to Exodus, which has never given me a hassle or problem. BTW, I tried their live chat support, and several days later they still haven’t responded to me, even though at the top of the chat, it says the average response time to get a reply is 5 minutes. Yeah, don’t believe them. That money is gone and I blame Coinomi, because I correctly recovered my wallet on my new iPhone and most of the coins I had in that wallet. I didn’t attempt to recover avalanche any differently than the others.

This app was among a few that I installed that actually has the functionality to sweep a paper wallet’s private key. However, after initial setup it did take more than a day for the app to activate and in the meantime, the screen had limited to no functionality with no explanation. The next day, I deleted the app and reinstalled it and received a message that the app was now activated and ready for use. So you might have to be patient but after trying several other apps only to find out that those apps either no longer supported the sweep feature or had serious bug or security issues, this app saved the day for me. Once activated, all the controls appeared and from then on it was super easy to use. I would recommend it!

I have an account but it has disappeared. There is no place to log in or a way to recover my money!

Coinomi hardly ever connects or when it does connect it doesn’t stay connected. They say don’t worry your funds are safe. That’s cool they’re safe but I can never access them because the stop app doesn’t work. Moving all my coins a lot as soon as it connects. Tick tock tick tock.

It's probably one of the portfolios with the highest exchange and withdrawal commission I've ever had. Please don't waste your time. It's very bad, very high fees for everything and the exchange process is a little slow.

Very smoothe and intuitive wallet with features that make crypto a little easier. Sweep BTC paper wallets using private keys. Etc.
