Ready to take on your next paint project? Start with the newly updated ColourSmart by Behr Mobile - a convenient, easy-to-use tool to help you find your perfect Behr colour, discover new designer-coordinated colour combinations, and preview your colour choices in room scenes and on exteriors.
This new app has been customized specifically for the Canadian market, including unique colour collections and integration with Canadian Home Depot® locations.
You can now access colours by scanning the barcode on the back of a Behr colour swatch or brochure. – a quick, simple way to validate your colour selections. Visit a Behr Colour Solution Centre at your local Home Depot® to pick up your paint colour chips to get started.
Check out these great features designed for your iPhone® and iPad®:
•Easily browse or search Behr’s extensive library of over 2500 colours including BEHR MARQUEE™, PREMIUM PLUS ULTRA® and PREMIUM PLUS® colour collections.
•Use the Colour Match feature to take a photo, then tap on the image to get the closest matching Behr colour.

Features missing

Why this app does not have what I’d consider basic features is baffling. No account creation to access saved content on the web/desktop. No save as PDF/print capability from the “My projects” area. No way to share a collection of saved colors that have been saved in a project except for to show someone your phone’s screen or share single colors individually.

Doesn’t work

The preview photos don’t show up - it’s just a blank grey rectangle. Can’t visualize much on that.

Gets you to load pic. Choose color. But can start the project. Also find it impossible to find a mat black.

Not quite as expected

I was hoping that this app would use the picture taken from the camera so I could see what the paint would look like and not from your library of rooms

Out of date colours

I picked out several colours based on pictures of my walls. Went to the Home Depot store to find the matching paint chips. The colours in the app were out of date, such that the store did not have any chips/swatches of the eight colours I had picked out.

Eh...

It’s OK I guess. It’s just hard to select a color. A different color keeps popping up even though I pressed another color.

Not accurate for colour matching

I’ve given the app a try on two separate projects in the last few months. The interface is actually pretty slick once you figure it out, but both times the colour match was so off that it was terrible. Can’t comment on the other functions and features.

Missing LRV

This is a nice way of looking for colours but if you are looking for the information on the colour you will not find it. I like to choose colours using the LVR (light reflective value) as part of my guide. This vital information is missing. Also you must be careful before you buy and go to the store to see the actual colours as I have noticed a great difference between my phone and my computer.

CANNOT DOWNLOAD OWN PICS

Was disappointed as found out after downloading the app. that you can’t download your own pics to preview colours. Waste of time.

Horrible.

Won’t let me download my picture. I switched to another app.
