I have enjoyed this app even when it was my cookbook. I do have one issue I have tried more than once to pay for it annually but have not been able to do so.
Really like that I can both down recipes from various internet sites as well type in my old fashioned hand written recipes ( many are hand me downs from Mom and Grandma). All in all ciuldn't be happier.
I love pulling recipes off the internet, but hate how so many have embedded ads and distractions throughout the recipe (I understand that’s how people pay for their blogs - just doesn’t make it easy to scroll through the recipe). I’ve ruined recipes before because I missed an important paragraph that was sandwiched in between two ads…so frustrating, especially when you’re using pricier ingredients! This app lets you put a copied link into the internet search, then import it. When you import it, the app has sorted through all the extra crap for you, and you are left with a recipe summary, ingredients, and directions. Easy peasy!! You can then add your own notes to the recipe, put it into a group, and, if the recipe has a video link (like that great one you just found on YouTube), you can copy the url and paste that into the video link spot in the recipe (you have to use the edit mode to add notes and URL’s). A guy friend of mine who likes to cook shared this app with me, and I’ve been sharing it with all my cooking friends…so much more user-friendly than Pinterest or any other app I’ve tried!! It’s actually motivated me to find some healthier recipes and try them, since I’ll be able to easily find them again and add my own notes, once I know how I want to tweak them, so I don’t forget the next time I make them!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app!!
I figure after using this app more then a decade I should review it. I can say nothing bad about it. I love that I can use it on more then one device because I am constantly sharing recipes and do not always have my tablet available. The import recipe is excellent and I have never had any problem except it the site itself does not allow me. Importing images is great too for the recipes I create but have no image. The scaling I love because we are only two in a household usually but love that I can change it anytime. I am a subscriber only to support the developers but there are days when I go wild and download many recipes at one time. I love how it has an infinite amount of recipes you can add to it and it is so easy to find that special recipe even though I have saved about 2000 so far throughout the years. app support is also wonderful for the rare occasion I had to use them. I believe that was when they had a fire. All I can say is keep doing what you are doing 24.00/ year is completely worth it if you can afford it.
I have moved all of my recipes to this app so if it goes away, I’m screwed. This is everything I’ve ever wanted in A recipe app.
We have used it for years. It’s a great way to save use and reuse you favorites.
I downloaded this app a few days ago. I’ve been thinking of organizing some recipes for a while but never got to it. There are so many options out there I just didn’t know what to get. I had a different one before and I just didn’t like it much. I also save a lot of recipes on Pinterest but I just wanted a digital version of a regular recipe book. I read cookmate’s description and it seemed ok. Took me a while to test it but OMG I love it. You know what’s the best part tho??? Being able to save a recipe by entering the website. The app uploads it organizes the recipe separating description, ingredients and preparation. So you don’t have to scroll down through the whole life story people like to write now when they post a recipe in their website. What up with that anyways???? Takes half an hour to finally get to a recipe these days. This app stops all of that!!!!! Thank you!!!
Great app! I love how easy it now is to save your favorite recipes all in one place and eliminate the ads & blocks of text in most website recipes that require endless scrolling.
This app works great on my tablet & I have the paid version so I can keep my app on my phone synced with all the recipes loaded onto my tablet, which is what is keep near me when I cook. I primarily use the app on my phone when planning my meals & grocery lists, however, I cannot figure out how to update the app to show all the recipes I have on the platform. For example, I’ve had 81 recipes for quite some time, but I just added several recipes earlier this evening on my tablet. My app, however, still shows only 81 recipes, no matter how many times I try to sync or refresh. This is super frustrating, especially if I’m stuck in the middle of the grocery store where my tablet is not available. Is there a fix for this??
Me encanta muy practica 😻😻😻
